Trump’s support is unchanged since Kaplan Strategies’ poll published in July, whereas DeSantis is down two points from when he and Ramaswamy were tied at twelve percent. The pair have been trending in opposite directions over the past few months, with Ramaswamy climbing and DeSantis sliding.

Former Vice President Mike Pence is on DeSantis’s heels with eight percent after doubling his support since the poll that was taken from July 17-18. From there, former Govs. Nikki Haley (R-SC) and Chris Christie (R-NJ) tie at four percent. Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) is down three points from July, garnering two percent in this poll, followed by Gov. Doug Burgum (R-ND) with one percent.

I like DeSantis but like Ramaswamy more. Listened to a 90-minute speech he gave, highly intelligent with great political views and instincts.

I like Ron, would never attack him for anything, but he is sinking in the polls. Not such a viable candidate after all.

A non-Trump nominee could conceivably recapture the suburban independents in those states that abandoned Trump in 2020 and offset the fraud machine. But those voters are out of Trump’s reach.

It’s very unlikely that any Republican can win the suburban independents either now or in the future.
This demographic has been moving to the democrat side since the election of Slick Willie.

Our political disadvantages aren’t going away and will continue after Trump retires from politics.

Now we can get a discussion going about natural born citizenship. There have been numerous threads on this topic alone, some with hundreds of replies. Many have weighed in, presenting evidence on whatever side of the argument they are taking.

Plenty of evidence of this. We have candidates like Kemp, DeSantis, Youngkin who are able to appeal to the suburban independents in their states.

Also, the Republicans ran in a bunch of redrawn districts in New York and won in 2022. (Looks like they will be gerrymandered again in 2024)

So if Trump is off the ballot in 2024, we're much more competitive. Not saying we'll win but at least we will have a chance.

Among other things this is the guy that wants to pardon the Biden’s.

I can tell you right that for me it is Trump or I don’t vote for president. Because it is either Trump or this nation is done. It is as simple as that.

At the very least we owe President Trump to attend this and take Vivek apart who is draining and splitting his vote … I want to see them face-to-face it’s the only way to ferret out the truth and we shouldn’t be denied such an opportunity, period end of story

Your right. Vilek is all talk while DeSantis takes action by firing the AG in Orlando for not doing her job protecting the citizens. But keep being impressed with a talker who gets nothing done.

You do know the debates helped trump in 2016? That’s where everybody loved him. Why he’s scared this time is anyone’s guess.
