Trying to think of New Jersey songs, but there don’t seem to be many.
This little obscurity from 1967 mentions NJ Route 69 which later became 31. For some reason, Route 69 signs kept disappearing so they had to make the change.

The 'Wavelength' album by Van Morrison is another contender for personal favorites. This nice background song, fits the category, but is not one of the best on that excellent album:
