Majority of Americans will be 'minorities' by 2045: White population to dip below 50% for first time in history, according to analysis of census data

The majority of Americans will not be white by 2045, according to data that highlights the US' increasingly diverse population.

An analysis of census data by the think-tank Brookings Institution estimates that white people will comprise less than 50 percent of the US population for the first time in history in little over two decades.

The majority of the population will be made up of minority ethnicities: 24.6 percent for Hispanics, 13.1 percent for blacks, 7.9 percent for Asians, and 3.8 percent for multiracial populations, the analysis claims.

Immigration and an increase in interracial couples are fueling the shift in a new era of so-called majority-minority population.

Some experts have refuted those conclusions though, due to concerns about who the government counts as 'white'.

The population of white Americans is growing older as the predominantly-white generation of Baby Boomers, people who were born in the mid-1940s to the 1960s, ages. The latest census data shows the older population has climbed to nearly 56 million, up from 40 million a decade before.

This generation is about three-quarters white, which has meant that the white-majority population was the oldest of all racial groups per the 2020 census.

Additionally, the 65 and older age group is growing more rapidly than any other, and is the only age group whose white population is expected to grow between now and 2045 and beyond, according to analyses from the Brookings Institution.

I heard an interesting lecture recently, where the speaker posited that race wasn’t a point of identity for CENTURIES. Wealth, caste, nationality, class…THAT was how people identified.

For example, for a LONG time in Europe, nobody thought about being white…they were French, British, German or whatever national identify was in fashion. Within a country, they were upper class, middle class, lower class, etc.

The fighting, rioting, wars….was along those dimensions. They were all white, but nobody cared about race. It wasn’t important. But those filthy _____, well, we need to kill ‘em all. Indeed, that sentiment was well-captured in Blazing Saddles.

The lecturer posited that it wasn’t until the aristocracy and “the betters” realized they were outnumbered by the Little People, that they weaponized race. “Hey, all you grubby filthy people who want to kill me and pillage my wealth…don’t do that - you’re white, just like me! It’s the blacks/Asians/Indians/plaid that you want to hate.”

It’s a good theory, and I need to do some investigation. But anecdotally, it seems accurate. Today, untold numbers of people identify chiefly by the color of their skin, because some Elite human piece of excrement decided what was best for us and him.

And then, whites elect to become stupid and blame the blacks, eg well, why can I wear a white pride shirt they get a whole month they should be happy they’re here blah blah blah. Indeed, I see scores of normally rational people since 2020 getting triggered when some race-baiter makes an asinine comment. Back in the day, we’d mock the likes of the Jesses. Today? My white brethren take the bait, and Satan laughing spreads his wings.

Taking a hint from the lecturer, the self-identification by race should be revealed for what it is: a very clever manipulation, a diversionary tactic, designed to pit us against each other so the master of puppets can eat steak in comfort.

Now, of course you can’t ignore skin color. But letting it live rent-free in your head is surrendering your liberty to an elitist who’s dead. A smarter move, is to recognize the REAL enemy/ by WHOM it’s being weaponized.

Not only not a race but this is a reclassification. In census data, Hispanics were lumped in with other whites until the 1980’s when the term “hispanic” was invented.

A big share of Hispanics are white. They identify as whites and look just like the rest of the white population. So whites will likely be a majority for a long time and probably in perpetuity.

Further many brown Hispanics also are pro-American and conservative. For example, Miami is a Republican run city that is clean and safe has very little crime.

I don’t disagree with that. But that wasn’t my question. Yes, there are black conservatives but they are few and far between. If you were forced to choose, would you live surrounded by blacks or Whites?

I’d rather to live surrounded by people who cherish freedom, respect others’ rights, and aren’t losers.

There are plenty of white losers. I went to HS with a lot of them. Bidet, Pelosi, Schumer, Willard, McConnell, Paul Ryan, most of Hollywood, and Bruce Springsteen are also human grunge. I have no desire to live in the same area code as any of them.

When I was about 10, there was a Star Trek episode starring Frank Gorshin as a law officer from a planet hunting down a terrorist.

The reason for the conflict, some were black on one side of the face, the others were white on the same side.
Even at age 10 I could see that skin color was irrelevant.

Frankly I think we’re already there. And if I am not actually a minority yet, feel like I’m being treated like one used to be. Now the other used to be minorities get crap handed to them. Pretty sure no one’s coming to help me when I struggle
