Wilson said that the Hollywood 'cool kids' all put on an act and pretend they are 'alienated outcasts' Nikolas LanumBy Nikolas Lanum | Fox News
"However, it must be said you are also familiar with this idea if you work in insurance, solar panel sales, Uber driving, agriculture, or the manicure and pedicure industry, because Duḥkka is everywhere these days," Wilson said, arguing that nearly everyone in modern society is wired to feel sorry, suffering and unhappiness in their own lives.
However, Wilson refuted the idea that negative energy should be entirely removed from people's lives to live positively and thrive.
"This isn't helpful or true. It's why psychotic comedians and comic actors continue to mine the depths of our pain, so we can create laughter for service, for medicine, to relieve suffering and to counteract pain," he said. Last month, Wilson spoke about the need for a spiritual revolution in the modern world and his struggles navigating a Hollywood culture critical of people of faith.

Didn’t actors routinely thank God in their Oscar speeches a few decades ago?
(because Duḥkka is everywhere these days,)
I just wish he and his brother Jeb! Would take in 500-1,000 border jumpers each...
i have watched two of his traveling episodes. He admits to living a pretty depressive life
For example, instead of being happy with his role on The Office he was miserable because he kept thinking he should be in movies.
Rainn is a little strange, but he speaks out about his religious beliefs, something few other celebrities are willing to do.
What religion is he?
Bahai or some such. Not Christian but not a jihadist either.
Yes, because they knew that most of the people watching on TV wanted to hear such praise for the good things which happen in our lives.
However, as awards show viewership declined and church attendance declined, the “need” to appease the feelings of their “fans” declined. They don’t need to praise God, they need to praise Harvey Weinstein and defend the Roman “Not Rape-Rape” Polansky types in Hollywood.
Now, if they mention God, there is a great chance they will be ostracized unless they are too big to fail!
Or, more simply, the only people who watch award shows are devil worshipers, so thanking God would be offensive to the audience.
I have already estranged myself from Hollywood.
“Bahai or some such...”
I’m getting flashbacks from Seals and Crofts. They would proselytize at their concerts.

Why should I listen to this guy?
They also had a pro-life album.
You certainly don’t have to. You can defend Hollywood all you want, and say they are fair to Christians and religious people.
That’s what I get for not reading past the title. Sorry.
I’d so prefer to be skinned and broiled to “being a cool kid in hollywood”.
