I believe the ones who would qualify would be DACA or Temporarily Protected Status.
TPS is at the discretion of the Homeland Security Director, so potentially every country in the world could be designated.
Illegal is illegal. They have no business working in law enforcement. If they hurt an American citizen, regardless of the circumstances, they should be charged, convicted, jailed, and deported. If an American dies, they should be executed.
