He ran for re-election and was re-elected in Nov. 2022. Many people enthusiastically supported him by donations and campaigning. Our family included. He was asked in the debates just before the election if he would run for president and abandon his job as governor and he refused to answer. The voters who backed him didn’t think or want to believe he’d do that and voted for him anyway (instead of a dem rival) and about 6 months later he skips out on us.
