The communists are cold and calculating while our voters are emotional and stubborn. Sometimes, the left overplays their hands such as they did in the primary in 2016, helping to boost the guy they thought would be a layup and beat them anyway. They marshalled all the instrumentalities of media and govt against Trump in 2020 and got him out of there. They played in the GOP senate and gubernatorial primaries last year to much greater success than 2016.
Maybe trying to imprison the guy they’re running against will backfire or they’ll be overwhelmed by external events that haven’t happened yet, but it feels like year after year no matter how terribly they’ve governed, the vise gets tighter with all their monopolies and voting chicanery that winning becomes an ever impossible feat.
Here’s hoping the health of Thomas and Alito hold up for a long time because who knows how long it’ll be until another R president is around who can replace them.
