Sound of Freedom" continues to surprise, appearing on more than 4,000 screens as the number of theaters showing the hit film continues to climb for the fourth consecutive weekend.
Despite its difficult subject matter, the independent film from Angel Studios dominated the summer box office, as total domestic box office revenues surged past $130 million and the movie played in 3,411 theaters entering its fourth weekend.
"Everyone in the industry knows that films are generally supposed to lose screens week over week, not add them," Brandon Purdie, Angel Studios' head of theatrical distribution, said in a news release. "And yet, the incredible word of mouth driving 'Sound of Freedom' continues to spread

I saw this movie on Wednesday at a Marcus Cinema in Menomonee Falls WI. It’s an excellent story about the human trafficking of boy and girl children age 4 to teens. Sick pedophiles pay big money to do this evil. The message at the movie’s end implores us to get the authorities to stop this foul deed. Thank you, Angel Studio for getting this story out.
$14 million budget. That’s quite a profit. Congrats to Jim Caviezel and the team that made this film possible in the face of great resistance.

Got back from our local showing an hour ago. Packed theater. No seats left that I saw.
Once the movie started, you could hear a pin drop. What a compelling and sobering movie.
Everyone should see this. It’s that important.
Please go see it. Don’t wait. If it’s showing near you, it’s well worth the effort.
I would love to but I can’t. I’m still recovering.
P.S. I’m not a movie goer. I can count on one hand the number of movies I’ve watched in the theater in the last 15 or so years. It’s not my cup of tea.
I felt that this was important.
In my town, it’s showing on our one screen historic theater for 3 shows only, tonight, tomorrow night, and Sunday afternoon. Same schedule as for every movie, though some movies are shown for two weekends in a row. Box office opens one hour before the show. No advance tickets for a different day.
Almost every person in the theater was 50 or above, with a few exceptions. There were people who had limited mobility.
Jim Caviezel, and all of the actors, were excellent. Scenery like you wouldn’t believe.
Made me think of Epstein and his orgy island. Somebody tell me how those manifests haven’t been published yet. Big money does this. They take our kids and sell them over and over again.
You can only sell a bag of cocaine once. You can sell a child over and over again, 5-10 times in one day, for a dozen years.
God’s children are not for sale.
I’m hoping this movie will do something like Star Wars did back in the day. Just play it every week. Money talks. The seats are filled. Maybe by the time you’re feeling better, it will still be playing.
It’s finally broken the 1:10 ratio of budget to box office.
Before going international. That is a huge milestone.
Now we should prepare for the leftist movie critic dogasm of hate at least in Europe.
