This summer’s heat is not unusual.
“wonder if our reliance upon a/c has just made the summers outside feel more intolerable.”
That, and people are just “weaker” and “whinier” these days...what will people do if power gets cut?
‘Our HVAC fan was making weird noises...’
impeller fan...?
Blower motor sounds like a friggin’ Huey over the house. Of course any of the reputable HVAC folks will offer up an entire new HVAC system for about $7500. Uh, nope.
No. It’s always been super cold in the Summer.
Brr.
The US has 56 states and territories. 33 of them set their all time heat records before or in 1945. The hottest ever recorded on earth and in the US, 134 at Death Valley was in 1913 and has not been broken since. Newsflash: Summer in the US is hot.
I’ve lived in 100-105 summers all my life, starting before A/C. I don’t have to work in it any more, but did when I had to. Ranching, horseback for days, we just did it (and bitched about it, then did it some more). We sure didn’t want everyone to switch to golf carts over it.
