The high this afternoon in Phoenix ticked up another degree to 119°F. This is the 3rd occurrence this year, 5th occurrence on record, and ties as the 4th warmest high temperature on record.
Yep, keep them windows rolled up while I go in here and visit the gift shop.
>Back in 1988 or so when I was attending university of Arizona there were two weeks of 120°F. Global warming is a goddamn scam.
Yep I do remember that, it was freaking hot
Yea, but it’s a dry heat.
Anything over 90 is abominable to me. I keep telling my wife that I belong in the Yukon running a trap line. She ain’t coming with me.
Down the road in Escabosa it’s 85 with light rain, gentle breeze, and 20% humidity. Should be 59 in the AM. Something to be said for being NM mountains.
Quiet you
I was in the AZ desert from ‘85 to ‘99 and I will say it seems the monsoon isn’t really going.
Usually it is in high gear by now.
No humidity and it is gonna stay hot.
For those that never lived there, that humidity flows east to west mostly from the GOM.
😅
Yuppers!
I was in Phoenix in the early ‘90s.
121° is what I remember ——Ouch !
Here now in Prescott and high is
97° but cools down at night in the 70s
.
To old to sweat All nite...
sorta miss San Diego——a little.
It helps to be 6,000’ above sea level.
Uh..........its a friggin desert
Wow! They TIED THE FOURTH WARMEST!! I’m sure Guiness will have to send armed guards to protect the members that certify that record.
When I was a little kid, it got hot in the summer. Son of a gun, if it isn’t doing that again.
Absolutely!!!
Look to the Hills where
Our Salvation cometh!
Amen
Yeah, but it's hard to breathe at 9000 feet.
7,400 :)
It’s a dry heat.
Like when you open the over door.
Only 7.400, but you get used to it.
Why don’t they go into the basement there?…
Oh no we’re all gonna die again.
