Nikki Haley says Trump ‘can’t win a general election’ — but would still back him
The New York Post ^ | 07/24/2023 | Ryan King

Posted on 07/24/2023 2:32:13 PM PDT by thegagline

Republican presidential contender Nikki Haley said Monday that frontrunner candidate and former boss Donald Trump will never win the 2024 general election.

“We can’t have, as Republicans, him as the nominee. He can’t win a general election. That’s the problem. We’ve got to go and have someone who can actually win,” Haley told CNBC’s “Squawk Box.”

But she said she will ultimately back Trump if he becomes the GOP standard bearer, despite her concerns about his chance at success.

“I would support him because I am not going to have a President Kamala Harris,” said Haley, 51, referring to the vice president, who is next in line to the White House should something happen to 80-year-old President Biden.

“We can’t afford that,” said Haley, the US ambassador to the UN under ex-President Trump. “That is not going to happen.”

Trump, 77, has a yawning 33.3 point lead over the 2024 GOP field, while Haley is in a distant fifth place in the latest RealClearPolitics average of polls.

Haley insists it’s still very early.

“This is a marathon, it’s not a sprint,” she said Monday. “We’re just getting started. This will really start to shake up post-Labor Day,” she said.

The former South Carolina governor also highlighted Trump’s mounting legal predicaments when discussing the weakness of his candidacy.

“There’s probably going to be a fourth indictment,” she speculated.***

Nikki Haley = Deep State Stooge

You mean to tell me that Trump nominated a deep state stooge to be the US Ambassador to the United Nations?

“Governor Haley has a proven track record of bringing people together regardless of background or party affiliation to move critical policies forward for the betterment of her state and our country,” Trump said in a statement. “She will be a great leader representing us on the world stage.” Donald Trump, 11/23/2016

I can’t wait till Trump announces a VP.

Whoever it is, they will have been tried and convicted by FReepers of being a Deep State Stooge.

Then what will they have to say?

I’m reminded of the many FReepers who proudly proclaim they will never vote for an Ivy Leaguer like DeSantis.

When told that Trump himself went to an Ivy League School?

(crickets)

These only Trumpers really have no clue.

He’s unelectable because the fix is in. Again.

Otherwise he would have won in 2020 and will again in 2024 if they stuff the ballot boxes again and make the voting machines pick the demRAT.

I wonder when the last real and fair election was held in America. Sometime before Obama for sure.

She was a roller coaster, wasn't she!

Something about her eyes bothered me.

That's why she's sitting behind the pretty lady

Haley is right but understates the problem.

Not only will Trump not win the general, he will not have coattails to help Senate and House candidates down ticket. We won’t take the Senate and we’ll lose the House.

Then not having a conservative Republican in the WH means a leftard Dimocrat will be nominating the next SC Justices and will have a Dim Senate to approve them.

Why not Anthony Fauci? He already served a year as President, so he’s experienced and available.

Cross thread, but relevant.

The media definitely wants to "move on".

Indeed! On everything.
See 92. Start at 2:07.

Thanks for that link!

I’m not a fan of Christie either, but his response was dead on! McCollum was NOT expecting that response. She was probably told by her producer that Christie was a reliable “yes-ma’m, Never Trumper” who would be sure to say, “Yes, it’s time to move on”.

The democrats and their loyal and reliable media always want to “move on” when they are caught with their pants down (so to speak).

How about this for really BIG...ahem...humor...

The President: Good because I Heard you had a prosecutor who was very good and he was shut down and that's really unfair. A lot of people are talking about that, the way they shut your very good prosecutor down and you had some very bad people involved.

Snip...The former ambassador from the United States, the woman, was bad news and the people she was dealing with in the Ukraine were bad news so I just want to let you know that. The other thing, There's a lot of talk about Biden's son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it ... It sounds horrible to me.

We're finding out about that all right and a whole lot more.
And Dem/RINOs impeached him for that being IN the RECORDED phone call. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Isaiah 30:3 Therefore the strength of Pharaoh will be your shame, and the refuge in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.

Praise the Lord. He shares the greatest things.
