A new statewide poll released this week shows Kentucky Democratic Governor Andy Beshear leading his Republican challenger Daniel Cameron.

The poll – conducted by the Republican-leaning firm Public Opinion Strategies for the Prichard Committee, an education-focused Kentucky nonprofit – shows Beshear up 10 points on Cameron with just over three months to go until the general election.

It projects Beshear capturing 52% of the vote compared to Cameron’s 42% with the incumbent having cross-party appeal.

The poll also indicated Beshear’s approval rating is 63% across the board with 38% of Republican voters and 60% of Independent voters polled approving of his performance. Among the 800 voters polled, just 35% disapprove of the job Beshear’s doing in office.

The ultra far left (no exaggeration) Andy Beshear somehow remains very popular - this is a race that should be won, the marquee race of the year - and no one wants to talk about it and just let the Democrats roll over us and then act surprised again when it happens. Just like the Wisconsin Supreme Court race. In prior years, it would be all hands on deck, even for small relatively obscure races. Everyone was glued to special elections, the Prosser-Kloppenburg race, etc. In the last couple of years...crickets when it comes to something like this.

Not surprised. Voters here are dumber than a candied frog and only accidentally vote Republican sometimes.

They still think it is 1935 and want both guns AND food stamps.

Voters will always vote against their best interests, the nation is doomed..we can only pray for an all out Nuke strike to cull out so many voters.

blood red Kentucky of all places...this just baffles me. Only state wide office the dems hold there, yet the biggest. Weird...

Don’t forget Jacksonville Florida race we last for the first time in 30 years. Since 2018, things have been dismal at best.

Dan, you need a dose of reality. Playing pretend is for children.

Oh thanks. Maybe they aren’t impressed with his job he’s doing. Huge fentanyl problem there. Maybe voters are sick of it.

Could be that Republicans have a problem with blacks. Herman Cain once ran for the senate in red Georgia. Republicans then put up a rino who helped turn the state purple over time. Oklahoma House speaker who lost a primary twice, first to a pale-faced Lankford. Then the re’s the 2 not ready for prime timers. Rookie Lynn Swann going against Veteran Rendell for Pa. Gov. John James/Mich. No business running so now he lowered his sights and won a house seat. Kudos for taking on the fight-that’s all. Cain and the black speaker from Oklahoma were opportunities missed, even if we get accused of window dressing.

Perhaps Trump as POTUS can appoint a very young Cameron to SCOTUS.Trump has to win first. The GOP wants blacks in the foreground. The primary voters want them in the background.

By attacking daily the only viable opposition to the Democrats, imperfect as it may be, you’re advancing the goal of the Marxists. Do you not understand that? If not, then you’re the quintessential example of what Lenin described as the “useful idiot”. There’s the dose of reality, Jon.

I know the kind. The idiots with a Biden/Harris 2024 Bumper sticker on one side of the bumper of their pickup truck and an “I’m The NRA and I Vote” bumper sticker on the other side. Most union types are about that smart.
