Amid talk of possible compromise, US president says 'it doesn't make sense for Israeli leaders 'to rush this,' given range of threats and challenges country faces
US President Joe Biden said Sunday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his hardline coalition should not rush their 'divisive' bid to overhaul Israel's judiciary, given the numerous threats and challenges Israel faces, and should instead work to build broad consensus for legal reform.
"From the perspective of Israel's friends in the United States, it looks like the current judicial reform is becoming more divisive, not less," Biden said in a statement to the Axios news site...

Joe Biden and Leftists in Israel stand in the way.
They are supported by Israel's Business Forum the top 150 companies calling a strike for tomorrow over the matter.
Biden is involved in an insurrection against Israel's elected government IMHO.
There would not be a need for any judicial reform if it wasn’t for American leftists fomenting strife and lawfare in Israel.
Biden and his controllers are fighting this tooth and nail.
well, Israel can just pay Joe 5 million for his support.
Israel wants to have a system in many ways like our own the elected officials have power over judicial appointments and the elected parliament can pass laws overriding judicial decisions.
The lawyers and the Bar Association has too much power right now and the courts can hamstring the elected government.
This from one of the most divisive presidents in the last 15 years.
I’m sure they were like, “thanks for the tip Joe, now get out of our business.”
Says a retarded executive order a-hole, Bidung.
Biden the butt-head should just butt out of Israel politics.
Yeah Joe, look whose talking.
Do the opposite.
The United States citizens have been taxed to support Israel with tens of billions of dollars for decades. If you guys want Biden to butt out of Israel, then we can all agree zero welfare dollars to Israel, right?
Send Harris over to fix it, Jao....
Amazing how progs want to keep power in the hands of a few aperatchiks.
Another butt-ignorant outsider. Israel is the only stable democracy in the Middle East, this temporary wobble aside. Israel buys mucho U.S. military hardware with the money we give them. Israel produces an enormous quantity of "firsts" in all manner of technology and medical procedures. Israel takes care of the problems America won't. Israel shares intelligence the U.S. couldn't get any other way.
If Israel is so talented and resourceful then they don’t need welfare money
And you think Biden is offering his suggestion for the benefit of the U.S. taxpayer? Does his suggestion save U.S. tax payers money? Nothing Biden does is for the benefit of the Americans. I don’t know the specific details of Israeli judicial reform, but it’s a good bet Biden benefits personally in some way by opposing it.
I believe it's called "foreign aid". The vast majority of countries that receive foreign aid from the U.S. don't do squat for our benefit. Israel, on the other hand, gives us great value for funds spent AND they buy arms from us, allowing our companies to make money. Stop acting like an ignoramus.
Our Judicial system is working so well with Trump to low level law and order that we should worry about Israel’s system?
