How's this as a consequence of radical leftist policies that coddle society's troublemakers?
As of Sunday, the San Diego Union-Tribune ran a Page One above-the-fold story by Paul Sisson headlined "Hospitals in County Look for Ways to Cut Attacks on Workers," which is an important story indeed because it points to the consequences to innocent hospital workers of constantly coddling bums, illegals, drug addicts and criminals, all of whom were named as perpetrators in the piece.
For some strange reason, the story not there on the San Diego Union-Tribune's website and I looked and looked. I don't think it's a time delay, as there are other significant Page One stories up on the site -- one about the sleazy world of "Fat Leonard" who is linked to corruption in the Navy, and another on Comic-Con, for example.
But this story is somehow not up there. Maybe it's an innocent overlooking. Maybe it's a mistake. Maybe it's a legal issue. Maybe I am bad at 'search.' Maybe there was something wrong with the story and it was pulled. But it appears well reported in the paper edition, and the correspondent is a veteran health care reporter so I am skeptical it was that. What I am less skeptical about is that in light of its sensitive content to the city's ruling leftists, is that they just don't want this important story getting out there.
Sisson starts with doozy figures as to what is going on. I'll transcribe:
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the number of intentional injuries against health care workers and technicians has increased from 6.7 to 12.9 per 10,000 workers from 2011 to 2020.

That's right about when Joe Biden opened the U.S. border, the homeless-industrial complex ballooned into a surge of homelessness, and Soros district attorneys started running blue cities into the ground by effectively refusing to enforce laws against criminals.

Pump their stomach a couple of times. Doubt if they’ll come back a third time.
definitely a dangerous and exasperating job to take care of these folks
They are not sending us their best.

If the doctors, nurses and medical aides are being attacked in their workspace, it is incumbant on the hospitals to have security there!
When I lived out there (1966 - 1972 and 1981 - 1994) San Diego was a wonderful place to live. Apparently the LIEberals have ruined it!
I have unfortunately recently been in several doctor’s offices and medical facilities. I noticed they all had signs posted advising the consequences of belligerent language and behavior. Hadn’t seen that before.
My sister was taken to a nice hospital in North Tampa. There were signs everywhere saying they didn’t prescribe or dispense narcotics. I mean, almost every flat surface. I sat watching cops’ patrol. These guys were wearing lots of armor. A cop would disappear around a turn to my left as another appeared in the same corridor from my right. I asked a nurse. She said people denied drugs would pull guns. Someone had shot a nurse who didn’t even have access. A gang fight had resulted in members from both sides being treated. Gang members showed up to wait and a gunfight started in the waiting area. All of this because diversity good, or something.
Peaceful citizens shouldn’t have to pay the price for the actions of these bums.
My daughter’s last job was in a public hospital in South Texas. She was there for 3 years right out of nursing school. They had lots of illegals who would end up in there for not taking care of their diabetes and other issues. The whole family would come with them to the ER. All of them would be yelling at her in Spanish. It was chaos everyday.
She left there and got a job in an elective surgery center early this year. She knows what an open border looks like.
” All of them would be yelling at her in Spanish. It was chaos everyday.”
I was getting an MRI. Chatting with the nurse she said she’d been working in the ER. Same story as yours. She said she got the MRI job which had better pay, better hours and nobody yelling at her. When I was in the ER very few of the nurses even spoke English. I had no idea whether they’d understood me or not as they’d nod and say, “yes.” I can easily see how this lack of communications could kill a patient.
My daughter is a very tender soul. It almost soured her on the whole profession. She asked me why the hell does she have to take care of illegals who refuse to take care of their medical conditions. I told her that they have been conditioned to that. They are entitled little shits and have no respect for those that help them. She used to be a lib, but now after getting burned by reality, she is waking up.
