DeSantis polling nightmare: Florida governor falls to THIRD place in South Carolina and remains 30 points behind Trump in Iowa - as his campaign continues to falter

A new Fox News poll of early primary contest states shows that DeSantis is now behind both former President Donald Trump and his once-Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley in South Carolina.

With a 34-point lead against the rest of the field, Trump came in with a whopping 48 percent support from voters in the southern state.

Haley came in second with a distant 14 percent, leaving DeSantis in third place by 1 percentage point difference.

A Fox Business survey of Iowa Republicans shows that 46 percent of likely caucus-goers back Trump – giving him a 30-point lead over DeSantis' 16 percent. In third place is South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott with 11 percent.

No other of the 15 candidates in the GOP primary so far were able to gain double-digit support in the Hawkeye State.

"Out of frustration, Atlas resigned not too long after being appointed himself."

You just continuously embarrass yourself with every post. Do you have some sort of learning disability? It's never too late to get some help.

Dr. Atlas was a "special government employee" appointee, which means that he only had a 130-day window to perform his duties. He resigned the week that window expired. Do you understand, bEagle? This isn't FRacebook, you can't lie and hope to get away with it.

Atlas did not resign "out of frustration", he resigned because he did not want to be dismissed.

Furthermore, there is nothing in his letter to support anything other than his support for his colleagues and President Trump.

Atlas stopped even going to the corona meetings months before he resigned, according to reports.

https://www.axios.com/2020/12/01/trump-covid-19-scott-atlas-resigns

More importantly, Trump quit even going to the meetings himself in the late spring.

It was all left up to Fauci by the administration, according to Atlas’s book.

>>As I said in the conclusion of my post you failed to address, how can I have faith he can actually win next time, when he’s done little to nothing to contest what happened last time?

And you fail to explain why you don’t apply that same concern to DeSantis’s, or any of the other candidate’s, chances of winning. Regardless of who is or isn’t to blame or who did and who didn’t do enough to fix the system, all the candidates are going to be dealing with the same system.

The system isn’t going to become less corrupt if DeSantis is the nominee. So if you were being intellectually honest and consistent, you would be arguing that none of the GOP candidates have a chance of winning in the general. Instead you use it as an argument why Trump can’t win but DeSantis can. You make no sense.

Lol

So golden eagle, who says polls aren’t believable.

used comments about something he doesn’t believe in to fool people into believing that Trump will lose to biden.

So, not only does golden eagle lie and mis-represent things, he uses what he says is false information to deceive people.

Because I don’t see anything there that says you don’t believe in polls

If only he had waited until 2028. He would have been a schoo-in.

I agree. Running against Trump was a catastrophic mistake. Shows DeSantis listens too much to deep state consultants and never-Trumpers. Generally disqualifying for President in my mind.

He could have waited and fell into the role as Trump's biggest supporter/cheerleader. Standing up against DOJ/FBI/crooked-courts and such. Then if Trump is knocked out early, DeSantis could step in with glory.

Or, if Trump loses in 2024 he could have ran in 2028 with full MAGA support.

As it is now, he is done before he even got started.

"Trump never once mentioning the term “gain of function” in all this time, even though that is the likely source of Covid, and it was re-instated in 2017 under his administration, is a current concern in my opinion. I see it as one of the greatest, if not the greatest, danger currently facing us."

NIH admits Fauci lied about funding Wuhan gain-of-function experiments

"Two years after Wuhan hosted the 2019 Military World Games, determined to be one of the planet's first superspreader events of the novel coronavirus pandemic, a top official at the National Institutes of Health has conceded that the agency did indeed fund highly dangerous gain-of-function research on bat-borne coronaviruses in the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

In a letter to Kentucky Republican James Comer, the ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, Lawrence A. Tabak of the NIH admitted that "out of an abundance of caution," and, of course, after two years of conspicuous indignant behavior that anyone would consider the lab-leak hypothesis, the nation's top medical research agency conducted an additional review of how the funds authorized by Dr. Anthony Fauci and friends were used by EcoHealth Alliance, the New York City-based nonprofit organization headed by frequent WIV collaborator Peter Daszak."

Trump accomplished more for America in one 4yr term than any President in your lifetime.

He did great until the coronavirus thing and he allowed Dr. Fauci to manipulate him. That's on him, the buck stops with the President. Joe stole the football and ran with it. That's why Joe's in the White House right now while Trump is at Mar-A-Largo.

I have been honest and consistent, going all the way back to when I was suggesting that DeSantis might do best to wait out 2024, rather than get in the mix. Anyone who can't see a train wreck coming is blind.

But I think of the two, DeSantis has a better chance, as I see Trump as having basically no chance. That's reason #1.

#2, DeSantis is clearly more conservative, especially on issues like gay marriage, big spending government, and out of control "gain of function" research and weaponized injections. DeSantis calls out the WEF, Trump goes there and hob knobs. I can give you pictures of Trump manshaking with Bruce Jenner, saluting North Korean military officers, and his granddaughter singing in Mandarin to Xi, not to mention all the pictures with Epstein, if you haven't seen them already. If none of that matters to you, fine, but it matters to a lot of us, and I can guarantee you won't see DeSantis doing any of that stuff, ever. So he's getting my vote.

so you are saying that if Trump hadn’t run and instead had fully supported DeSantis, his numbers would be where they are now?

People should always take what golden eagle says with grains of salt, because he lies and mis-represents things frequently to suit his purpose, which tends to be Trump bad.

For instance, here again, he pushes that polls aren’t believable....

Packer, I don't think this poll says what you think it says.

You posted a graphic from the Daily Mail, but if you went to the actual toplines and cross-tabs, you'd see a slightly different picture.

It's quite reasonable that Haley would come in second in South Carolina because she's a Favorite Daughter.

HOWEVER, question 3 of the Topline asks who the first and second choices are and Haley beats DeSantis here in the first choice. But when you look at the combined first and second choice, DeSantis beats Haley by 3%.

When you take out the state-specific Favorite Daughter effect, DeSantis beats Haley.

When you break it down by the issues, we see this:

So, DeSantis and Haley are statistically tied in South Carolinians DEFINITE support as well as NEVER support, but DeSantis edges out Haley in combined first and second choices because he's seen as more able than Haley to beat Joe Biden.

Mike Pence is the clear disfavored candidate in South Carolina.

"At this point, shouldn’t I just expect his vote totals to go backwards on the CNN screen again?

Why not?

He’s never even mentioned it, much less investigated it. And it is arguably the best actual evidence he has that votes were being manipulated."

The "best actual evidence" that 2020 was stolen is 'CNN chryon graphics running in reverse'. Riiiiiiiiight.

Not Ruby Freeman, not Dominion, not Obama's Army doing old-fashioned Democrat electoral schenanigans with ballot machine overscanning undervotes on mail-ins, to produce a miniscule 313,253 votes spread over 6 states. ... but "CNN".

Listen.

You need to grow up. It's time. Either participate in these discussions as an adult, or go sit at the kid's table.

Eric Coomer's Facebook posts are hardly evidence of a crime. Videos of vote totals changing in real time, is. And yet you accuse me of being the one needing to grow up? My point stands. Trump has done nothing to investigate, or secure elections since he had actual legal standing to contest the 2020 election.

Maybe it was stolen, but it's coming out his own campaign people told him he had lost. His top lawyer, and his top data person, per Jason Miller. Maybe this is why Trump has never lifted a finger to actually investigate, or legally contest it once he actually had standing. Makes more sense than anything.

"Eric Coomer's Facebook posts are hardly evidence of a crime."

"[President Trump is an] autocratic, narcissistic, fascist ass-hat blowhard and his christian jihadist VP, unfriend me now...I'm looking at you Geoffrey Cushing-Murray, Gus Murern, Benjamin Rice...Only an absolute F^CKING IDIOT could ever vote for that wind-bag f^ck-tard FASCIST RACIST F^CK!" -- Dr. Eric Coomer, VP / Dir of Product Strategy and Security, Dominion Voting Systems, June 2, 2020, Facebook.

I mean, you and Coomer have something in common. You don't really care about the other candidate, it's simply that you both hate Trump, and are both completely given over to Trump Derangement Syndome. He lives in your heads (plenty of room, no doubt) rent-free.

Hilariously, the difference between him and you is that he got a winning lottery ticket for his TDS, and you get to be punched down on FR for your TDS. Rent-free!

If by some weird turn of events DeSantis is the nominee, I'll vote for him.

But at this point, it's hard to imagine how Trump isn't at the head of the ticket.  That said, this piece is painting too dark a picture of Meatball Ron's campaign.  And he's avoided, so far, what would be a fatal political mistake of directly going after Trump, the way some of the other non-entities (looking at you, Blimpy Christie) pretending to run for the nom.  Ron is getting some valuable experience on the national stage, and he's young enough that he'll still be around in the next cycle.

I'll remember to print that out, laminate it, and place it in my wallet in order to retrieve it in 2028 for laughs when Ron goes NOWHERE due to the backlash against him stabbing President Trump in the back.

I don’t hate Trump at all. I’ve just rightfully identified him as having a very low to non-existent chance of winning in 2024. The reasons why are he’s taken too many liberal positions, and has spent more time jabbering than actually getting things done.

I want him to win in his trials. I think he should go dedicate and focus himself on that, instead of trying to run for President at the same time, which is doomed to fail. One takes a political strategy, and one takes a legal one, and often they can’t be mixed.

That does NOT mean Trump won the election, as of today, as some of you continue to insist. He lost the official count. He never even contested it once he had legal standing to do so, either.
