I wonder how they'll achieve this by simultaneously banning gas (as they're doing here on the left coast)...
Lol, how long to recoup the initial cost and installation?
...basically TRIPLING the price of water heaters. Also requires that electrical power be strung to ALL water heaters too, and likely via new circuits.
Stop lying to me.
Lukewarm showers, everyone?
Complete this phrase: anything the government touches turns to ______.
CONTROLLING US IS ALL THEY CARE ABOUT!
What they don't tell you is that the new heaters will cost consumers $30 billion over what they would pay for current technology.
STOP!
This lousy government is way out of control and needs disassembling. Fire most ciphers without severance or pension.
Looks like they’ve got new water recycling standards planned for us as well”

All condensers do is move heat. So they take the heat out of the interior of you house, to the hot water. Now we have to heat the house again.
that is during the winter, in summer might be ok.
more useful in the south
But the govt is one size fits all, they never look at the system, only the most perfect hypothetical situation.
Just dissolve this mess we pretend is our federal government. Special interests and the bureaucratic deep state hijacked all three branches of government decades ago. The power of our elected representatives is miniscule at best. The deep state compromises them, blackmail them, and we are left with worse and worse every year.
If it really saves consumers so much $$, they will do it all by themselves, faster than any government mandate
Oh Boy!
This is going to be as much fun as low flush toilets!
They are springing traps everywhere now.
Collapsing society all around us and then initiating laws that will shutter technology that facilitates life’s basic needs.
They want to commit genocide.
But we should worry about Ukraine...
Far better and more efficient, Tankless, Point-of-Use Water Heaters:

I had a plumbing repair business and rather than see the extra costs and waste as one person having my water heater strapped, or those first few years of the terrible toilets before the industry caught up to the theory, and such, I could see the billions being spent and wasted.
I put an on/off switch on my electric water heater and it is 10 gallons, no family or hardly anyone would want to do that but I enjoy playing around with things.
Comrade refusenik!
Cold showers are VERY patriotic.
Get used to them, or go to gulag where is only cold shower.
If you like your cold water, you can have your cold water.
I was figuring on getting a few more years out of my water heater, but maybe I should consider replacing it now. The price is probably already going up, just on the rumor of new government standards.
Uh-oh.
