MANY of the “UNEMPLOYED” cannot pass the drug tests.
LEGALIZED all that Marijuana, doncha know.....
In the 50’s-—lived on dairy farm. Many around us still had outhouses & all the women did ‘chores’.
Neighbor did ALL her cooking on a wood stove & there was NOTHING she couldn’t bake.
She is 22....
Product of 20 YEARS OF “PARTICIPATION TROPHIES”.
ZERO SYMPATHY HERE
“Feminism is the reason that it now takes two incomes to put food on the table.”
Don’t forget politicians and the IRS.
I know a very petite woman (size 0) who worked at a huge dairy milking cows 3 times a day with modern equipment.
She was separated from her husband & had 3 boys to raise. She can outwork almost anyone I know-—And I DO KNOW a few women.
And Madison Avenue convincing people they need the latest and greatest doohickeys.
“Feminism is the reason that it now takes two incomes to put food on the table.”
And also, many people (or couples), no matter how much they make, spend all of it and incur debt on top of that.
You laid that out so well. Thank you. It was the natural way of life since the beginning of life on earth. Family structure and defined roles did not need updating just to satisfy the social engineers and malcontents. The world was a better place back then.
You are so right.
Yep. She's acting. Looks like she was over 500k followers on TikTok which definitely puts her in the "influencer" category, where she makes about $400 for each video she posts.
This being said, her video has generated tens of thousands of comments on TikTok alone, not to mention other platforms like Twitter where it's gone viral.
She may be fake-crying but a lot of people out there are discussing seriously what she said.
Exactly. A goal of the left was to destroy the nuclear family, and they have had stunning success.
::...women wanted to work for 8 hours outside the home so they wouldn’t have be a slave in it for 24.::
~~~~~~~~~
Right. And who is doing all of the “slave” work in the home in the meantime? All households need to have the laundry done, the shopping and the cooking, and the cleaning, etc.
The left has been very crafty in convincing large numbers of women that traditional homemaking is demeaning.
Your mother sounds like mine. My mother raised 9 children. When she brushed my hair her hands smelled of bleach from laundry or of onions from cooking. My father worked hard as the breadwinner and she worked just as hard keeping our house spotless, our clothes clean, and our meals prepared. And she did not have a clothes dryer until the 8th child was born. And she did not complain. Mothers of those days did not whine about being stressed or needing “me” time.
I raised 4 sons, and I Still have not figured out how she did it so well.
I can’t remember what film or comedy skit this came from, but it was an 80’s thing, but I quote (Eddie Murphy from either Raw or Delerious?):
Women’s be thinkin’ too much.
I’m also a right-leaning Papist, as well. I know they don’t like us here much.
Again, if my inpure thought crimes aren’t wanted, I can always stay home.
Odd, because having lived up North, and even down here in the South, I encounter a lot of straight, white, left-leaning men.
“Former two income households found out during the Covid lockdowns they could get along on one income and have stayed that way and are used to it.”
That is exactly what has happened for many people. Even the younger people learned they can work part-time and travel and do what they please if they refuse to settle down, get married, have a house, live alone, etc. They learned how to get along without a full-time income. It might be a long-term disaster in the making, but the older generations created the mess.
I doubt anyone who has observed a roofing crew for more than 30 seconds would disagree that it’s tough work. I always feel especially sympathetic when I pass such a crew in July or August here in Maryland.
Very true as well.
Nobody really talks about it, it’s one of the biggest threats we face...a continuously lowering birthrate. We need to be raising the concern now. Things have changed too quickly and we’re not recognizing the societal problem that is actually happening.
She needs a complete physical. She may have mono or thyroid trouble.
And now the Labor Department is bemoaning the 100 million adults who are not in the workforce, adults like my wife who stay at home to raise our four children (and works her tail off doing it).
My two brothers and I were raised by a stay-at-home mom who went to work later in the mid 80s only after my youngest brother was old enough to pretty much come and go on his own. I think, mostly because she was bored and wanted something to do. Of course, her extra income meant more taxes so I don't really know how much the family finances changed.
My wife stays at home with our four kids. She's talked about getting a part-time job when the kids get older. Again, probably out of boredom more than anything. We don't need the income but when the kids get bigger and start occupying their time independently, she won't have much to do with her days. I could see how for some women, this would become difficult, sitting at home all day while the husband is at work and the kids are out doing their own thing.
