I should have learned my lesson as a Luddite and made a print of the following news story here which I can no longer find as it disappeared on all search engines.
A young woman attending college wanted to join people who were welcoming immigrants who had no good place to stay. She let a man newly arrived from Africa stay on her couch in her campus apartment as a temporary guest.
One night she woke up in bed in the dark to see the man, naked, starting to rape her.
I swear I saw that story, maybe 6 or more years ago. Story extinguished but I saw it.
It was in the UK.
I remember something like that. I also recall more than one report of an elderly woman taking in a refugee and ending up raped and murdered. I don’t understand single women of any age permitting a male stranger to stay in their home.
