Terrible accident for sure. I feel bad for the woman and the lawn service guy. Funny though how the family comes out of the woodwork with concerns for their homeless relative after she's gone. 🤔

your daughter was asleep in the tall grass and brush approximately 3-4 feet high at a local park.

she was possibly under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

we believe this because she didn't wake up when the tractor came by.

she was run over by what is know as a "bush hog" or "gang mower, which is multiple mowers attached to the back of a tractor.

She died of multiple blunt force and knife force trama including severe head injuries

Once again we are sorry, this was a tragic accident. for the future, we recommend people not taking naps in high grass on public or private property without letting the owners know.

It’s the death of a human being, under suspicious circumstances, but it’s unlikely to be a homicide; certainly not a murder. She was, probably, already dead. The Coroner’s report will likely settle the matter. We’ll see

Her family didn’t care she was homeless and needed mental care but they are all about a potential $ettlement.

It sounds like a bit much from the family, but the homeless are characteristically mentally ill and drug-addled with their families having little ability to do much for them. That is part of why California is so accommodating to the homeless. The best that families can hope for is that the police and other authorities are accommodating and assure as much physical safety as possible.

Justice was already served, albeit accidentally. Life is short, it is a lot shorter when you are high and hopeless.

That’s probably way too harsh. Many families try everything and try it forever to get their loved ones off the street, get them into treatment or rehab, get them back to where they were as kids and teens. They spend lots of money trying to help them, but so often it is absolutely futile and hopeless.

I have no way of knowing, but I believe this family did everything they could to save their daughter. The article says the daughter often went to the family home. You don’t do that if you are completely estranged.
