Soon after a World Economic Forum partner was caught calling for an “end” to private car ownership, a climate expert is warning that the push to cancel gas-powered cars is just a ploy to end private transport. The climate crisis is a hoax, but it’s such a darn useful hoax for authoritarian globalists.
Climate Depot’s Marc Morano went on Fox Business Thursday and discussed how the Democrat and globalist push to replace gas cars with electric vehicles (EVs) isn’t about helping the environment but restricting Americans’ freedom of movement. “This really isn’t about them driving an electric car,” Morano said, highlighting how this is a top-down decision not based on popular demand. “This literally is — the banning of gas-powered cars — is being done just like a COVID lockdown without a vote,” he added. From California to the Biden Environmental Protection Agency to Australia, leftists are trying to force ordinary citizens into a corner with their gas car restrictions.
Indeed, Pew Research Center published the results of its new survey on June 28, which found that “Less than half of the [U.S.] public (40%) favors phasing out the production of gas-powered cars and trucks.” It’s also significant that EV batteries actually generate lots of toxic waste, so they’re not better for the environment.
“The intent is not to necessarily force people into an electric vehicle,” Morano went on. “The intent is to collapse our plentiful freedom of movement and force us to use mass transit. They want us on the subway.” It’s a global collusion. “They want us on buses. That is what this is about,” Morano insisted.

Yup. Of course that's what they are doing.
Most of us here on FR, other than the EV shills, have known that from the very beginning.
“Gas Car Cancellation Is Intended to End Private Transport”
Exactly, we know this but there is a generation of brainwashed kids who don’t even know they are being loaded onto trains.

they won’t mind, since half of them don’t have a drivers license.
Eliminating private ownership altogether, I’d reject. But there will come a day when self-driving cars will replace ownership for many. Like calling an uber or lyft. You ask, it comes to pick you up and drop you off. Then it moves on to do the same for someone else. Like one of those robotic vacuum cleaners, it will take itself to charge during non-peak hours or as needed. The only hitch to this concept is the spread of disease, and people doing damage or littering up the car but I imagine these cars would have sensors and cameras to penalize users.
Most cars sit idle most of the time. For most people it’s an inefficient use of capital when you really think about it. It sits in your driveway or workplace for 16 hours a day. It’s been convenient and liberating for people no doubt about it. But, as I have looked, Tesla will lease you a model 3 for about $450 a month (but, $5000 deposit). So I can imagine if you had partial ownership in a self-driving Tesla “club” for example you can have access to a car anytime you want at a very small fraction of ownership or leasing.
Of course, whether it is mandated or created by private companies the use of cars on demand by app will be a means of surveillance and potentially a “right” that government can revoke if your social credit score is too low.
But there are companies right now that rent cars by the month. Not like your typical car-rental company but I imagine they will get in on that action soon enough. You don’t have to finance or lease or car or get stuck in a contract. You pay for a month, and renew it monthly, and can change vehicles at any time. Comes with insurance and mileage.
We are not fooled.
If cars were a new invention, they would never let the proles drive them.
An someone explain what these idiots thing will get done if ice cars are cancelled? I mean doing work and getting to work.
Hey come on.
I like conspiracy theories as much as the next guy, but there are lots of places where electric cars will make enormous financial sense.
They are already a rapidly-growing part of the world’s transportation, and constantly improving in efficiency and cost.
Soon they will overtake gas in costs (all costs) in lots of places.
While sure, we have lots of places where electric just won’t be efficient for years and years, it is already becoming better, in some - lots of southern big cities for example.
Just flat out, on cost.
I think it’s time to cancel the globalists and their useful idiots, the climate cultists.
What a great straight line.
The answer to your question is: they don't think at all. It is just not their concern, as a failing candidate for President just said.
At best they assume that the proles will take "public transportation" to work. Or possibly live in dormitories adjacent to the workplaces. They imagine that they will still have access to unlimited goods and services, including their own cars and drivers and airline flights whenever they want to go and wherever they want to go. Because they are special.
Things are not going to work out as they desire.
bingo!
thats what i have been sayin’
shut up and get on the bus you peons
Bookmark.
oh yes
you will own nothing
and be happy
nothing about bugs are yummy?
I’ll stick to my 05 Denali.
None of that will matter when 95% of us are dead.
I don’t think we are going to see a big fleet of used cars. The tyrants leave no tool I used: they’ll stop renewing gas station permits when they’re court, and stop issuing new ones
SPJNK.
And then private property.
