The First Amendment provides the Freedom to speak out against the government without repercussion. Free speech is not a license to be abusive, or to say anything at any time anywhere. That is the liberal’s interpretation of the First Amendment. If you read the Founders’ writings, you will understand this to be the case. George Washington fined his troops $25 for each instance of profanity.

This is my observation. I have been a FReeper for 20 year. When I see a strange comment on a thread, I usually click on the poster’s name to see when they became a FReeper.
All too often the poster with strange comments has been a FReeper for 25 years and this is my first encounter with their names.
So I have become suspicious the FR has been corrupted by those who oppose us and have managed to become a FReeper today with a sign on date that is 25 years old.
Regarding posters who like to get people riled up, my advice is this: “Do not get into a peeing contest with a skunk.”
So, you have no problem using this site, but refuse to support it. Fortunately there are enough FReepers willing enough to keep it running, to make it possible for you to post here.

I’m convinced there are groups of paid shills here, with agendas.
It’s actually legal now, for the Pentagon to do so. They advance the Pro War pieces, and trash freepers who argue against.
The Ukrainian Lobby certainly posts here. There are a few shills who post daily on how well the Ukrainians are destroying Russian troops. It’s so obvious lol.
And the paid shills from certain campaigns. I’ve received an email threat for outing one guy who’s main agenda is anti-Desantis misinformation hit pieces. Many of them flat out lies. I hit the abuse button on him, said, “please limit this shill to 2 posted articles per day (he was posting 7 or so, mostly lies). His enforcer threatened me via email that his group would hit the abuse on every comment I post, as “spam,” if I continued lol.
I’m completely against the US supporting ANY foreign war. Or NATO, for that matter.
I love Ron and Don, and Vivek. I would be very happy with any of those three. The paid propaganda (imo) hit pieces from certain Freepers need to stop. They’re dividing us. That’s evil.

I can’t speak for Jim, but I think he meant more the Trump-DeSantis and assorted pre-primary infighting. It tends to get pretty intense leading up to a general election primary season.
Just my guess, though.
