Looks like we’re going to get some of Californistan’s weather this evening. I’m not excited about it, but since this is the Desert Southwest, we always need the rain. The wildflowers always take the opportunity to bloom, even if it’s only for one day.

Reminds me of the guy who showed up for his tee time to find a gorilla was a member of his foursome; owned by one of the other players. He was skeptical, and a bit put off, but off the first tee the gorilla hammered a PGA Tour quality 350yd drive that bounded onto the green and rolled up pin high.
“On in ONE,” he gushed to the animal’s owner in disbelief, “That’s 350 yards if it’s an inch! How’s his short game?”
“Short game?”
“Yeah, you know, his putting, and stuff.”
“Oh, that,” said the man dryly. “His work with a putter is every bit as good as his work with a driver: 350 yards.”
