At 0730, while I was in the shower, I got a text from FS who said they were in Oklahoma City at that time. He estimated their time of arrival here as sometime on Friday, but we’ll see where they are by suppertime.
They are tag-team driving, so they may be here tomorrow. Maybe they will change their minds on the way home and find a motel or two to sleep in. I’m sure I wouldn’t want to drive straight through with either of them. Thanks, but no thanks!
I hope they have a successful trip. Remember to wear a big smile while you think, “Sucks to be you!”
They’d be best off to persevere all the way to Flagstaff, overnight there and start on the last 4hr stretch tomorrow morning. Lotta hotel options in Flagstaff; most with a full breakfast included.
