I’m ba-a-a-ack!
It only took two hours, but by the time he was done, I had a new hole in the kitchen wall, a wireless laptop, wireless printer and wireless TV.
He was very pleasant and was sent up here from Phoenix to help the crew here with their backlog of work. He’s been here since May, and with the massive growth in the area, he won’t be going back any time soon.
So today, I’ll start catching up on shows. I think Father Brown is no longer going to be in the works. I think Season 10 was the swan song. Darn. I’ll have to find out.
We are making apple chips and the whole house smells like apples.
This week should do it as far as the canning of produce goes.
Last of the tomatoes are going for soup, last of eggplant going for moussaka and the last of the butternuts are being collected.
The girls are down to apples, eggs, squash and some cabbages in their stand. Last day will be November fourth.
It sounds like a busy place, your house, these days. Did you ever think it could be so? Way back when?
Good for the girls to have things still to sell. I’m always encouraged when you tell of the things your family is doing these days! 💖
I’m so happy for you! 🎈
Too fakely funny!
That sounds like the most obvious cat behavior.
The cubs were watching something on YouTube the other day and absolutely howling with laughter. Apparently there is a channel called "Really Very Crunchy" and they seem to think my habits may slightly resemble hers.
I object. I do NOT hobby horse. Although if they were younger and I was younger I might be tempted.
Oldest Son has announced that he will not be going to collage however next year he will be signing up for Running Start Auto/Diesel classes at the local collage. I pointed out that this still qualifies as collage and got "oh mom, this is not collage, this is actually doing stuff!"
I think I am going to make him write an essay explaining how going to collage may or may not be really going to collage depending on your major.
Also I can not believe he is a sophomore. Where did the time go?
And they have cute cats.
Off this 7th tee I held out hope to make some gain. Kept a bit left with my drive to stay outta the trees, and got decent distance to make the left edge of the fairway short of the bunker to the left.
From the fairway my second shot carried just beyond halfway between the two traps on the right. This left me with more than a simple chip on, so I pulled a 7 iron for the third stroke to guarantee making the green. That proved sufficient, and my shade to the right to ensure a line between the bunkers set me up with a lateral putt from the center of the green. No easy feat with the subtleties of these greens, but I sank it for a Birdie.
Under par for the first time this round, I head to the 8th one stroke to the better.

Heh, interesting perspective.
Our children have views of us that are often hard to understand, but we love the individuality of the ideas that prompt them to be so open and honest.
I was always on the floor with my son, playing cars and other games from his fertile mind.
Good for Oldest Son! Technical College counts as college, so hooray for him!!
There is a song (I think it’s from “Fiddler on the Roof,”) called “Turn Around” that fits having children better than anything I’ve ever heard.

What a sleepy kitty!!
Good morning. Did you have a good night?
Yes, I’m up early. I’ve been up an hour. Same excuse.
I watched the first two episodes of “Death in Paradise,” yesterday, just because I felt I needed to laugh. And I did laugh!
I first turned the TV on, and for some reason, the sound system was on full tilt! WOW! It shook this place! I had to hurry and find the remote so I could turn it down. I loved it, though, and wished I could have had it at half-volume. Don’t think my neighbor would mind, either. She’d probably come to join me!
Nothing on the docket for today. Except going with Annette to Dollar General. I’d rather go to Dollar Tree. I need reading glasses again!
And a stop at the post office. I have things to drop off that are too big for the outgoing mail slot here.
Happy Odin’s Day, Wordle Fans!
Here’s hoping your games are great!

Good morning. Happy Humph Day!
It’s a little warmer today, but that isn’t going to last. We have rain foreguessed for Friday into the weekend with the cooler temps returning.
I’m having trouble keeping my Wordle scores up. But I guess consistency has never been my problem.

Good Midweek Morning!
Spent most of yesterday helping M-I-L and F-I-L get the rest of the firewood that they need for this season split and stacked... beautiful weather for that kind of outdoor activity! Today I can start the process of getting ours laid up...
Of course my overdrive off the tee on this Par 3 210 yard Hole 8 let my ball ‘find’ one of the bunkers behind the green... first attempt to chip out left me still in the bunker... finally got on in three... needed a great putt to avert disaster and settled for the Bogey.... sigh...

(This Bogey on the 8th hole puts me back at one over (33) for the round... ⛳️)
We’re back up in the 90s now, and the sun feels so good when I go outside.
No rain in the forecast, yet.
JUST when you thought it was safe to...
My drive from the tee on 8 faded right and caught the tree on it’s way to the green, beating around in the branches before falling to the ground and rolling down into the pond.
SPLOOP!
I had to suck it up, take the 1 stroke penalty and drop a ball there by the water’s edge.
I did follow up with a pretty good chip onto the green, and a very nice putt to hole in for the Bogey.
On to the 9th, then, back to even par here at Bethpage. I could complain, but I typically don’t shoot anywhere near a ‘scratch’ game.
