Had one I really wanted to marry. But she ran off with as many guys as possible in college thinking she could always get me back, no problem.

Population control. I knew the unisex and the androgynous movement of the mid 70s would take the thrill of man-woman relationships onto the rocks of ship wreck. Clothes were made suitable for both sexes. The government schools indoctrinated their pupils into the gender blender of uniformity.
In Japan they have a rash of Lonely Deaths, where isolated individuals die alone and take awhile to be discovered. There are organized groups which clean up the mess and perform rituals in honor of the dead.

They forgot to mention insane divorce laws that will financially ruin a man forever.
Given the statistical likelihood of a divorce it’s just not worth the risk.
I see Deep State’s war on the nuclear family is going well.
For some reason when I read this what came to mind was those shots you see of all of the men arrested in a child sex ring sting operation. They all look so criminal and dirty and like the dregs of society. It made me wonder how much porn addiction (including child pornography) had to do with these stats.
OTOH, there are a LOT of young woman out there who have very demanding expectations, but offer nothing but narcissism in return. It’s a tough, tough world to be a normal man these days.

Marriage is a huge financial burden. Just having a wife will cost a lot. If there are children, it’s several hundred thousand each.
Having children severely complicates your life, especially if both partners work.
It risky. She might turn out to be crazy. The kids might turn out to be crazy.
If you don’t marry when you are young, naïve and optimistic, you already will have friends whose marriages have turned out to be horror stories and cautionary tales.
