Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said former President Trump “admires strongmen” and wishes he could be “Putin in America” in a newly published interview with the Financial Times.
The presidential candidates and one-time allies have been feuding since well before Christie officially entered the race in early June, and Christie’s attacks come as Trump claims he could finish the war in Ukraine in 24 hours.
“He’d give Ukraine to the Russians. He wouldn’t care less,” Christie said in the FT interview.
“Trump is someone who believes: fill the moat, pull up the drawbridge,” he added.

Christie — you don’t need to make a lame attempt to read Trump’s mind.
Trump lays it all out there. He says what he thinks and is an open book.
I’ll certainly take many of Putin’s policies, starting with his policy protecting kids from Groomers.
If Sad Sack Chris McRomBush makes a stupid statement, does anybody notice or care.
The Republican electorate will soon tell Sad Sack that he’s irrelevant.
Obviously Dan White was on to something when he chose to use the Twinkie Defense for his diminished capacity defense...
I hope the dumb fat boy knows he isn’t getting any Republican supporters with his constant sucking up to the Dung Beetles and trashing Republicans. I’ve yet to hear anyone say, “I’ll be voting for Christie”. LOL. He needs to go back to strolling along the Jersey shore with his buddy, Barry Soetoro.
And his tax rates and policies.I think it’sa 12% national flat tax in income, no filing required. I’d like that too.
Yes, so true. Quiet down Chris.
Christie is a slob with no self control.
Christie is checking his crystal balls so he can read Trump’s mind
It has become clear that Christie truly has nothing intelligent to say. Christie is a complete mess.
If Christie thinks he is going to distinguish himself and win by being the guy who isn’t afraid to take on Trump, it isn’t going to work with statements like this. It tells you more about Christie that Trump. Does Christie really buy the MSM BS that Trump is an authoritarian? Really? Does Christie not remember how unfairly and relentlessly the MSM went after him when he was popular? Now its OK to do it to Trump? Or is he stupid enough to believe that Trump is different from every other popular Republican who is called a dictator, warmonger, Confederate or just plain evil? This is one of the reasons I have zero respect for Bush and Cheney anymore. Both were called dictators, warmongers, murderers and worse by the MSM in the early 2000s. Then they turn around and echo the MSM attacks on Trump. What gutless, unprincipled idiots or cowards.
Btw, there is a case to be made against Trump. But Christie isn’t making it.
Hey loudmouth, some things for you: Chris Wray, Fort Lee lane closure, and private family day at a public beach.
“Chris Christie said former President Trump “admires strongmen””
Well, we know for certain who and what Christie admires. His hypocrisy and elitism reeks of the commie left. So naturally he would be against someone, anyone, that is against what Christie treasures most.... (well, next to gluttony).
You can always tell the real RINOs. They’re the ones that bash and criticize the most Conservative GOPers of “their own party, supposedly”, while never ever bashing the radical left Democrats.
My my, the projection is strong with Chris “McBurgerler” Christie.
Christie wishes someone, anyone, would give a F*** what he thinks or says.
Christie wises there was a Do-Nut shop next door to his house.
Not even smart use of Alinsky Method. No facts at all, just bald assertions.
“The Republican electorate will soon tell Sad Sack that he’s irrelevant.”
************
Christie is performing his attack dog role for the GOP establishment. They despise Trump. We all know that.
If the GOP had any sense of respect for its voters and the primary process it would tell fat boy he’s out of line and to tone down his venomous verbal attacks. All its doing is helping the Democrats.
But the GOP stays silent. They like what Christie is doing.
