House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) called up Donald Trump Tuesday to apologize for doubting that the former president was the “strongest” Republican candidate to go up against Joe Biden, according to CNN.
McCarthy appeared on CNBC Tuesday morning and was asked if Trump could win the election.
“Can he win that election? Yeah, he can,” McCarthy said. “The question is, is he the strongest to win the election? I don’t know that answer.”
Politico reported that MAGA didn’t take kindly to his remarks and what they saw as McCarthy’s lack of support.

McCarthy is your typical republican leader: he’s with you until he isn’t. None of these guys REALLY look forward to the day Trump could be reelected and the gig is up. If the American people get behind Trump he’ll have the McCarthys of the world by the short hair and they’ll squeak every time he squeezes. Nope, they don’t look forward to that day. But I sure as heck do!
One of these days McCarthy is going to do something wrong, or maybe nothing at all, and Trump will throw him under the bus. Just like he has thrown countless others.

I’m almost positive there was an agreement between the two for mutual support. McCarthy is a traitor. Trump still needs to be a better judge of people.
