I'll bet next year will be the "best" year for fires. Probably no headlines then.
Don’t lst it get nearly that big.
Or use a lot of manpower, A Lot of manpower, to cut down or control burn what is in the path of the fires.
There are other things like pouring water on areas to control the heat, but there will never be enough water or equipment for a fire this size. These woods should have been managed beforehand to control what fires would be allowed.

Once the fires get going, there is not a lot firefighters can do to put them out. In remote areas of Canada there is often noway to bring in heavy equipment to fight the fires. If a town is jeopardy, firefighters will try to make a stand.
Canada...like U.S...almost has to burn down and then be rebuilt to make things right again.
I suspicion these wild fires are being left unchecked because the Trudeau government believes in keeping their wilderness pristine and making no efforts to manage the forests. Ironic that Trudeau is a big green, but has allowed these fires to put more CO2 into the atmosphere than tens of thousands of ICE vehicles. Despite major US cities being choked with air pollution and tons of CO2 being added to the atmosphere, I have yet to hear a peep from the global warming cult who are busy banning gasoline powered chainsaws and lawn mowers, gas stoves and wood fired pizza ovens.
Sky is smokey here in Indiana again.
Canada needs to be sued for damages. They are willfully violating all the Green New Deal mandates ... their fires, their problem.
