If the States don’t have standing, who does? Is SCOTUS saying the feds are omnipotent?
I think this is saying that states can’t tell feds how to enforce a federal law. Just as feds should not (I know they do) tell states how to enforce state law.
Now, I would gather this to mean that states can create their own ICE and prosecute/deport as they see fit within the confines of their state where the FEDS can’t intervene.
Course what the heck do I know?

You have a pretty good take on it.
But then, indeed, what do we know.

That would be nice...

states can create their own ICE and prosecute/deport as they see fit You're right, but most career Republican politicians (governors, mayors, etc) are RINOs and are in it for job security. They're going to use the headline to justify their career impotence.
Tulsa, for example, has a RINO pimp who is all on board for this liberal crap. And our governor is no better. He issued a press release that the refugees were welcome in OK.

16. The various Immigration and Naturalization acts are federal laws and since they are applied to all states and territories, they preempt any state laws on that issue. Crimes committed by immigrants, legal or illegal, can be prosecuted at both the state and federal level.
Ted Kennedy and Barney Frank led the fight to emasculate strong immigration laws and enforcement in the 1980s, aided by Rep. Michael Barnes (D-MD) among other leftists.
