"Are you sure.? I bet any day now there will be $300K tickets to see the wreck of the Titan submersible."

Several years ago when a Titanic exhibit was touring around the country, it stopped in Boston. I live in the middle of NY State, and made the trip, stopping at my son's along the way. They had the piece of the Titanic they had brought up. It was in a covered area outside from where the rest of the exhibit was. It was still being desalinated, and had water running over it. There was a sign that said "Do Not Touch." I was standing there looking it over, checked to see if anyone was watching, which they weren't, so I touched it. I paid very little for the ticket to see the exhibit, and being able to touch an actual section of the Titanic, that featured a small porthole window, was a real treat. Those poor people paid all that money, and likely never got to see it.

...and your touch may insure that it won’t be around as long as it could have been.

I saw possibly the same exhibit in a different city. They had a chunk of melting iceberg that was 27 degrees and invited people to touch it. There was the impression of many, many hands that had touched it. It was VERY cold. The passengers who went into the water that night were unconscious from hypothermia within 10 minutes and dead withing 20.
