I read this version has been on about 50 expeditions. Between all versions, they’ve been down about 200 times.

Actually only 3 were to the Titanic and there were issues on all 3. The other expeditions were on others of the companies ships in the Atlantic, Pacific and Gulf of Mexico, at much lesser depths.

Earlier expeditions to see the Titanic had been planned as far back as 2018, but technical and regulatory snags had prevented them from being carried out.
In 2021, then again in 2022 the Titan made the first of several dives to the most famous shipwreck in the world. Those expeditions hadn’t been without their own problems.
