Biden mocks Second Amendment supporters, says you 'need an F-16’ to take on government

President Biden took another swipe at Second Amendment supporters Tuesday evening, reminding them that they would "need an F-16" to challenge the U.S. government.

Biden's remarks at a fundraising event in a private residence in California came as he discussed gun violence in America and stressed the notion that Americans do not need AR-15s.

"We have to change," Biden said. "There’s a lot of things we can change, because the American people by and large agree you don’t need a weapon of war. I’m a Second Amendment guy. I taught it for four years, six years in law school. And guess what? It doesn’t say that you can own any weapon you want. It says there are certain weapons that you just can’t own. Even during when it was passed, you couldn’t own a cannon. You can’t own a machine gun.… No, I’m serious."

Well regulated means equipped with the weapons of the day.

"Regulated" meant "trained together" back in 1791.

Puerto Rican nationalists did not need fighter planes to fight US Fighters.

Neither did the Taliban...

***that they would “need an F-16”***

Again, how many F-16s did the Taliban have when Biden cut and ran?

The thing is, it doesn’t matter what this demented old fool thinks. The second amendment isn’t going anywhere.

AR15s are not the big problem. Idiot machismo and lack of punishment for gun crimes are the issues.

There has been a lot of horrific acts against the US and our forces that did not use an F-16.

By the way, I don't think any White Supremacists have any F-16’s, and Biden keeps saying these groups are the biggest threat against the US.

"Why is the POTUS even framing the second amendment in terms of winning a conflict with it’s own citizens at all?"

Probably because that is why the 2nd Amendment is there. So citizens can have the means to defend against JoBama's tyrannical government.

Not a smidgen of truth in any of that.

At least biden admits he is not afraid to use this Nation’s military against its own people.

~~~
Almost everyone who studies the founding agrees that this was the spirit of the 2nd amendment. That the people have the right to rebel against tyranny just like they did against the crown.
But I would still ask the question, and maybe I would clarify it a little better; Why would the President even take up an argument against the people being able to defend themselves SPECIFICALLY if it’s in the context of the 2nd amendment being there for the defense of citizens against tyranny?
In other words, isn’t that like him admitting that they want to disarm the populace for ultimate uncontested control over them, and they may as well just submit to that because they don’t have military aircraft?
You put a point on it.
Now it extends to 'media' that carry the water.
Or the caterer that disappears just before a bunch of party apparatchiks get terminally ill after a gala in which they congratulate themselves.
But the big part is that supply isn't secure. Especially if those producing/shipping that supply are pissed off that nearby base just laid waste to their friends and family.
Imagine large cities that don't have trucks supplying goods. In a short time, the decision comes--stabilize them, or let them burn?
What a terrible “tribute” to our country...because it was totally unnecessary.
Who remarked on the uselessness of firing a million dollar missile at a tent in the desert and hitting a camel in the butt?
Chicago has had an ongoing insurrection for decades, nobody in their right mind thinks an F16 has any use in solving that problem.
Lee Oswald took on the government with a $50 surplus relic from WWII.
“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?… The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If…if…We didn’t love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation…. We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”
I will not be surprised when the mouthpieces start calling a Browning bolt action and the like “high powered sniper rifles”.
President Biden took another swipe at Second Amendment supporters Tuesday evening, reminding them that they would "need an F-16" to challenge the U.S. government.
He's basically making the argument that either the citizenry should be armed with F-16s or the government should have its F-16s taken away.
