The issue with “people not buying it” is Trump continually told folks these are witch hunts and lo and behold- they turn out to be FBI/DOJ witch hunts. So who are the people most likely to actually lose faith in? The guys who lied under oath to promote fake charges? Or the victim who can say ‘I told you so” again and again?
1) They are caught in a sunk-costs loop. They have spent too many years hating and persecuting the guy and they have not gotten him the way they wanted yet. If they give up now they lose a big part of their identity...as sick as that is.
2) They are losing credibility by the bucket loads as they get more and more outrageous in their attempts.
It is a cautionary tale to not be like them. When we make accusations against the Left we should stick to the ones we can back up and not be a Sydney Powell.
