but the DOJ will continue to leak
That’s correct! They will. This is what a commenter just posted at Conservative Treehouse:
[We KNOW the prosecutors will find a way to leak discovery material out to the public. If this happens, it can be used to file a motion to dismiss. The prosecutors can TALK about discovery material, but that also risks serious court ruling about the impact this has on jury and injury to defense. Because these allegations are specially ordered to be sealed and to be protected, the honus is really on the prosecutors office to prevent said evidence from making its ways to the public. If this is violated, there is a good reason to believe the defense counsel has a solid grounds to have that material removed from the case entirely, even if the move to dismiss is not approved by the judge.
Prosecutors, in the attempt to limit the ability of President Trump to defend himself in this highly publicized witch hunt, now find themselves cornered by the same strategies they rely on to achieve a conviction.
This is going to be a very interesting case.
If I was on the defense counsel, I would just do the waiting game. And make public remarks in a high profile way to the media every single day…non stop. Eventually the prosecutors will make a mistake…it’s their nature. And they will leak material out to the press.
then it’s game on.]
