The city of Minneapolis has been exclusively under liberal Democrat control for more than four decades. When George Floyd died in police custody, the Mayor of Minneapolis was openly gay, the city council was filled with the appropriate minorities including a trans gendered Black female and the token White was a leftist female. The same crew stood by while the subsequent riots burned large parts of the city and looted other areas. Not a single rioter was indicted let along prosecuted under State statutes.
One would think that with four decades of enlightened leftist control Minneapolis would be a social Eden with the police appropriately filled with the correct levels of minorities and oppressed people spending their time passing out flowers in the bucolic crime free streets. Instead Minneapolis has become a crime ridden hellhole with downtown virtually abandoned due to crime and is on the way to becoming like Portland, Seattle and San Francisco with streets covered in human feces, drug paraphernalia and filled with tent cities of the homeless. This report by the DOJ will ignore the fact that four decades of liberals running the city have produced the same crime and social failure seen in other liberal run cities across the country.
Same here with San Fransicko. We’re also about 50 miles away and used to go there quite often. We haven’t been there in years after they turned it into an open air sewer.

There would still be crime. And arrests could still occur. Only the method of detention would need changed.

I figured that had happened. Indy use to be one if perhaps the only metro area in the country where a Republican could get elected as mayor, thinking Steve Goldsmith. If I ever go up there anymore it’s usually west out of county to the drag strip and that has been a few years.
