It's time to confront some hard truths. As a conservative, I value truth, even when it's inconvenient. Here's the truth: Donald Trump mishandled highly sensitive, classified information and lied to the public about his authority to do so. This conversation is not something I enjoy, considering he held the position of president. However, the recent indictment against him has left me outraged.
It appears that what the former president did was not just careless but criminal. He stored hundreds of highly sensitive documents that can pose a grave threat to national security if disclosed at Mar-a-Lago with complete carelessness. These documents, containing information on matters as serious as our defense capabilities, nuclear programs and potential vulnerabilities, were allegedly found in the most inappropriate of places -- from ballrooms to bathrooms. His discretion, or lack thereof, in disclosing these documents, purportedly even showing them to unauthorized individuals while stating to them he had no authority to do so, is extremely concerning.
Adding to the puzzle, Trump's alleged measures to keep these documents out of sight defy belief, even purportedly instructing his staff to hide them before federal agents could execute a search. His resistance to surrender the documents, even under a grand jury subpoena, adds to the list of allegations. There is even an accusation that he was not entirely truthful with his own lawyers about his possession of the documents.
The question naturally arises: Why did Trump retain these documents? It seems unlikely that he intended to engage in illicit activities such as selling them to foreign entities. My guess is either an attempt to keep himself in the news with further controversy, or to retain keepsakes from his time in office.

Not a word out of Williams concerning the Presidential Records Act. Hmm; wonder why?
> Donald Trump mishandled highly sensitive, classified information <
I am both shocked and disappointed by Mr Armstrong’s comments here. Did Trump mishandle classified information? I dunno. Maybe.
But here’s one thing I’m sure of. Trump’s “mishandling” of documents was no worse than that of any previous or current president. And Hillary Clinton’s reckless behavior with national secrets was worse than them all.
This is a case of selective prosecution. If Mr Williams cannot see that, he is either stupid or compromised. Enjoy your future one-party fascist state, Mr Williams.
So one of the RINO clown car will be preferable?
Dear Armstrong.
You are full of it.
Quite sincerely, ‘Pod
The answer is no. The Presidential Records Act is clear.
It’s not a “threat to national security” to keep us out of foreign wars on behalf of alien peoples.
It’s a gift to national security.
I hate these people
.
Where’s he been?
He missed the whole $100 Million Biden heist.
Does he know Biden as National Security Docs at multiple locations, including Intel Briefings and Assessments?
He’s gonna show up an saw use this statute that has never been used against a President, or Ex-President?
I’ve seen the Michael Steele Act.
That’s fine. Now do Biden’s garage and selective prosecution
“And how, exactly, does Armstrong Williams KNOW that these documents “pose a grave threat to national security[?]” Just because Jack Smith says so? Maybe the media told Armstrong.
In fact, he as no idea.”
Bongino speculated that there might be documents concerning Crossfire Hurricane in Trump’s possession...in which case he’s trying to preserve them because he knows that any evidence damning the Obama regime related to that scandal will be scrubbed and destroyed a la Hillary style. Then again, it is pure speculation. But it would make sense, if true.
Are you that afraid of Trump?
glow of your hatred for Trump lights our world, randita.
Sadly true, and in some sick ways, hilarious.
Remember when CNN said this when AW accepted $250k from GWB for promoting No Child Left Behind ”?
“He’s lost his credibility,” said Barbara Ciara, another vice president of the NABJ. “He’s tainted fruit. And he’s unfairly indicted all commentators who have their own independent opinion, don’t need a script from the administration and don’t need to be paid off.”
Guess he’s credible when he criticizes the right people
How does the author know what was in those classified docs? He can’t read them without getting a security clearance which I doubt many journalists have. So that means he’s relying on the media’s representation of what’s in them, and they’re relying on the FBI & DOJ for that. IOW, he doesn’t have a clue but he believes anything the media says. And yet he claims to be a “conservative?” 🤣
********************
But.....but......these aren’t Presidential documents.... They’re “We The People Documents.”(Sarcasm) We “little people” own them....they’re ours.(Sarcasm)
Trump isn’t going down on secret information that only government bureaucrats have access to.
This documents case might be dumber than the “Russia Russia Russia canard.”
Because that’s the way they are classified.
Each classification level has its own level of damage.
Trump by has the ability to destroy the Republican Party for at least a decade.
The so-called Republican Party has “own goaled” itself so many times in the past thirty years to destroy itself without Trump being the cause.
Open. Your. Eyes.
Yep, because, you know, black.
