Bannon says he did talk to Christie about being on or off the plane at 11.

Also, Bannon had to get Kushner to to dump Christie.

Chris Christie was about to get on a plane with then-candidate Donald Trump and was thought to be positioning himself to be chief of staff, and Bannon wanted to derail that possibility as quickly as he could, according to excerpts of Jared Kushner’s new book reviewed by The Daily Beast.

So, he called in Donald Trump’s son-in-law to help.

“We’ve got to keep him off [the plane],” Kushner recalled Bannon telling him.

Right. Bannon was one of the key players at the Trump Tower meeting I referenced in my prior post — after the “Access Hollywood” tape was released.

According to one post-election account of that meeting I’ve seen, Bannon was the only one at the meeting who was confident Trump would win the election.
