“Abdelmasih” means “Slave of Christ.” …
Not exactly. Al Masih can be a transliteration of Messiah, but it also has other meanings in Arabic besides “anointed one” (transliterated), such as “the traveler” or “the one who heals by caressing”; it’s also used in a more sinister context in Al Masih ad-Dajjal, a figure akin to the devil incarnate. The true cognate word meaning “anoint” in Arabic would be mamsuah.

Kudos. Among the strategies the worldwide Left and militant Muslims use is the obfuscation by words, especially across languages. Thanks for the addition to this thread.
