I’ve never had one, so I can’t say, but isn’t a Root Canal a procedure that requires anesthesia? I've had 2, one as a teenager. both were done with numerous shots of novocaine and lasted maybe 3 to 5 hours. The longer one was in the 60's and it's been improved a lot since then.
