Report: NYC Mayor Eric Adams to Cut Services for New Yorkers So Migrants Can Stay in Hotels Free of Charge
Breitbart ^ | 6-9-23 | JOHN BINDER

Posted on 06/11/2023 5:27:45 PM PDT by dynachrome

The cost of housing migrants is so extraordinary — an estimated $4.3 billion between April of 2022 and July 2024 — that Mayor Adams says he must cut city services to afford it. [Emphasis added]

To manage those expenses, Adams says the city is planning to trim services such as library hours, meals for senior citizens, re-entry programming for Rikers Island prisoners, and free, full-day care for three-year-olds. Last month, Adams also sought to unwind the city’s right to shelter, which entitles the migrants to housing within 24 hours of their arrival. [Emphasis added]

Data provided by the comptroller’s office shows 37 hotels contracting directly with the city’s Department of Homeless Services are being paid daily rates ranging from $55 a day to $385 per day, sometimes far in excess of what the hotel rooms might otherwise rent for.

Seattle downtown looked liked a woke hellscape in the early 1990s. I can’t imagine what it is like now.

The vast majority of NY’ers for voted Adams (and Biden), and they deserve this.

But....

Two unfortunate truths should spoil any out-of-staters' celebrations:

1. As there is no large body of water or other feature physically separating New York from the rest of the nation, the swarms will rapidly spread from this flashpoint to other states.

2. New York demmedcrats will feel no pain as they are so entirely screwed up in the head that they will actually get euphoric and explode with proudofselfgasms at the chance to accept hardship and inconvenience to accommodate the invaders.

Them that voted the slime ball in as the mayor never did even for one moment think or consider that he would (shudder) actually DO something liberal, no, they were just voting against the republican, who wanted to strengthen the police, and start cleaning up the city. Something that was totally unacceptable, besides, the republican candidate likely had spinach stuck between his teeth, and smelled of elderberries.

Those votes, they certainly do mean something, and when the population votes in as a majority a dyed in the wool liberal, they should not be surprised that he governs as one, top to bottom.

So, yeah, they do deserve everything coming to them, the majority anyway.

Those that did not, either need to campaign and knock on doors and convince neighbors, or move.

We have the same problem, in spades on the west coast.

Overall, New Yorkers are paying $256 every day, on average, to provide free hotel rooms to each migrant family. This is vastly more than what the city pays, $136 to $188, to provide housing for homeless New Yorkers.

They will just raise the amount they dole out to the homeless.

I am seeing non-English speaking Hispanic families at department stores with multiple shopping carts overflowing with things to set up entire households - dishes, towels, bathmats, comforter sets, clothing and food for entire families. They are being given money to set up households to live here permanently.

I wonder how the upper crust elite from Wall Street and Park Ave. are accepting the fact of having to rubbing elbows with these illegal grifters?

All the leftists on the west coast are invaders from the east coast and flyover states, but thankfully they are leaving which is why for example California gained 8 republican congress members in 2022 midterm

So according to your logic since the Texas legislature impeached the AG because he was pro Trump that means all Texas Republicans are anti Trump

They drew the dots and then blamed Republicans for the dots - so the solution is to double down on voting for Democrats.

No. All I mean is that if vote liberal, you are voting for whatever liberals do to you. Everything that liberals in power do to the population, the population deserves it for putting liberals in power.

If the population wants to stop the suffering, all they have to do is stop voting liberal.

That’s why I say that liberals need death camps, because terrible consequences are the only way that liberals learn.

NYC voted for a Demonicrat; they should expect a lying, murdering traitor to do what a lying, murdering traitor does.

The good news is that NYC is enjoying a commercial real estate boom as workers return to offices in massive numbers ... oh, wait.

Mayor, don’t look now, but your Voters are watching you, and none of them look happy.

He's not worried. New Yorkers hated the way DeBlasio was running things, but reelected him anyway.
