DeSantis says he'll FIRE FBI chief Christoper Wray if he's elected President, as he slams DoJ for indicting Trump over classified documents but not Hillary Clinton over her emails
UK Daily Mail ^ | June 10 2023 | JAMES GORDON

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis criticized the indictment of rival Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump saying there had been double standards in issuing charges.

DeSantis also promised to fire FBI chief Christopher Wray as one of his first acts as President if elected - while suggesting that if Trump had been charged with crimes - then Hillary Clinton should have also faced charges.

'With me, you know, you'll have a new FBI Director on day one. We'll clean out all these agencies on day one. We're going to have a major overhaul.

With Hilary it wasn’t just emails...it was a clandestine server in her house.

Well, maybe Trump should've seen her prosecuted as he said he was going to do?

I voted for Reagan twice — was that a problem? I voted for both Bushes not because I liked them, but because I despised Mondale, Clinton, Gore, and Kerry. Indeed, we suffered through eight years of Clinton because many republicans cast a GOPe protest vote for a candidate who could not win and many people protested the GOPe by not voting at all. I opposed McCain and Romney in the primaries for the obvious reasons, but I voted for both of them in the general election holding my nose. Why? Because given the choice between a GOPe globalist and a card-carrying Marxist communist, I chose the lesser of two evils. And while I voted for Trump four times (both primaries and general elections), we are at the point of no return if we don’t take back the executive branch, and therefore, I will vote in the primaries for the most conservative candidate who has the greatest chance of winning the general election, and right now, that person may be - or may not be - DJT.

Why does Trump meet with a “writer” who tapes their conversation? During that conversation, Trump is heard bragging about the top-secret documents he has and what they show—war plans, maps, etc. Is he just plain stupid, or what? He once spent hours with Bob Woodward that were taped by Woodward. Then Woodward writes a book that trashes Trump.

I’m sorry but this guy is just plain dumb. He can’t keep his mouth shut. He has to constantly brag about how important and wonderful he is. He’s being persecuted, but, by now, he should realize it and avoid their traps. Instead, he walks right into them time and time again.

I held my nose and Voted for Mittens—No more! That old Canard “Who you going to vote for—a Democrat?” will not cut it. I will Vote 3rd Party or Not Vote at all. As the election is, I believe , going to be fixed but good, it really makes no difference. RFK Jr. isn’t so bad—maybe I will vote for him.

“WOW. Just wow. The tales are getting taller by the day.”

Okay, here goes prick. Next time before you open your mouth, check to see if you know what you are talking about:

from The Guardian: (Trump hater)

Only having fired Comey, Trump could not fire Sessions, too – at least, not without risking a firestorm that might threaten a president who had already demonstrated a strong pyromaniacal streak.

from The Alantic:

“Firing the [attorney general] could trigger unintended consequences such as charges linked to obstruction of justice. I’m not sure it has merit, but it would be thrown at him.”

from The Hill:

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) warned President Trump against firing Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Thursday amid rumors of a major shake-up pending for the Trump administration.

“I would only answer your question this way unless you push me on it: I don’t think he should be fired,” Grassley said.

“It would blow up the committee,” Graham agreed. “The chairman has done a wonderful job in getting nominees out of the committee with a lot of [Democratic] obstruction, but if you had to replace the attorney general, Jeff Sessions, with somebody new it would blow the place up.”

“This administration’s got enough to do. There are a hundred vacancies in the court now that my committee has to deal with. We don’t have time to deal with a lot of things that are going fairly smoothly,” he [Grassley] said.

If the Democrats learned to live with getting insulted by Trump, they could get 40-50% of what they want just by stroking his ego. In exchange for steady progress toward their communist superstate, Trump voters get to boast that they’re beating the Deep State or something while Trump fills his administration with more Faucis, Boltons, and Wrays.

As President, Trump had the right to fire the AG. You claimed he didn’t. Your excuse now is some RINO’s would have been mean to him. Yet you want him elected again, even though those same RINO’s are still there.

How about we get some one as President who might actually hire a good AG in the first place, and then fire them if they’re not. Trump already proved he’s not that man.

Ah, remember who would have been ‘acting’ AG…. Had President Trump fired Sessions? These bullies are empty suits who twist facts like the devil twists the Scripture..

Who’s twisting facts? The poster who claimed Trump could NOT fire the AG, or the poster who corrected the record, that the President CAN fire the AG?

Desantis is a good man who would make a fine president. Only-Trumpers are as dangerous as Never-Trumpers.

“As President, Trump had the right to fire the AG. You claimed he didn’t.”

Would you, if you don’t mind, quote the precise sentence where I said Trump did not have the right to fire Sessions when he wanted to, but did not.

Of course he had the right, but you must have a short memory. He was dared to do so by Republicans and democrats for the reason that he would be accused of obstruction of justice and be impeached. You must have also forgotten that Trump was under investigation and his hands were tied by his own party.

Now, as for the little ingrate DeSantis, he has a Republican legislature and he is a big fish in a small pond and does not have the titantic forces working to destroy him as Trump still has. Were he to go to Washington, he would be a very small fish in a large pond and eaten alive.

You can’t name one instance where a President goes to Washington and, by just assuming office, has everything and everybody eating out of his hand. Washington is a combination snake pit and shark tank.

You can vote for whoever you see fit that is your right, as for me I am DONE being a battered wife of the GOPe, I am DONE being betrayed by ALL of them!! After 50+ years of working my heart out for them and SEEING my nation today there is not a dimes worth of difference in any of them!! For me it is Trump or stay home, without Trump the nation will continue on the course of destruction there is not ONE other candidate that gives a shit about this nation OR the well being of the American people!

I recall him saying she "would have been" in jail. Not sure he was promising a future prosecution. Perhaps I missed that though, can you point me at the promise?

"Trump has never said he would fire Wray."

First of all, why would he say that on national TV? You're foolish to think he would, or should. Besides, he doesn't need the attention like DeSantis does. DeSantis is pandering for votes.

A good General doesn't report his war plans ahead of time, and especially not on a news media platform like Fox News, and Scamnity's show. Why would I watch a Scamnity clip even if Trump is in it? I don't watch any news programs on any platform, nor have I watched any of Trump's interviews or his rallies. At 75, I have more important things to do than immerse myself in the cess pool of politics, especially the politics of the main stream media.
