The New Hampshire globalist is the latest Never Trumper to rear his head once again ahead of 2024.
Last Updated on June 6, 2023
Globalist New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu announced that he would not run for president because he wants all never-Trump Republicans to rally behind a candidate to stop Trump from winning the GOP Primary. Sununu recently said some very nice things about Ron DeSantis during the Florida Governor’s Trip to New Hampshire, signaling that DeSantis is the candidate that Sununu is talking about.
In the WAPO, Sununu attacked Republicans aiming to be Trump’s VP, writing, “Too many other candidates who have entered this race are simply running to be Trump’s vice president. That’s not leadership; that’s weakness. Too many candidates are afraid to confront Trump, surrendering to his attacks. I will have more credibility speaking out against Trump as a non-candidate to help move the conversation toward the future I believe the Republican Party should embrace.”
Sununu wrote that Never Trump Republicans must rally around a candidate to beat Trump “No one can stop candidates from entering this race, but candidates with no path to victory must have the discipline to get out. Anyone polling in the low single digits by this winter needs to have the courage to hang it up and head home.”
Sununu recently praised Florida Governor Ron DeSantis during his visit to New Hampshire, saying, “I actually thought it was a pretty darn good speech. It’s not just about the woke stuff. He talked about fiscal discipline. He’s talking about doing things in Washington that folks haven’t gotten done, and whether that’s Ron or all the candidates, that’s what we have to be talking about.”
In 2016 Ted Cruz and John Kasich combined forces in an attempt to stop Trump from winning the nomination. GOP Primary polls show that Trump is still crushing Ron DeSantis in a head-to-head match-up, meaning that Sununu’s plan looks to fail just like Kasich’s did in 2016.

They will throw the 24 election just like 20 and if they should knock Trump out in the primaries they will so alienate Trumps supporters they will lose their votes in the general election. I’ve been watching the Trump/DeSantis supporters on Twitter savage each other to the point they will not come together and support the GOP candidate in the general.
The GOP establishment sabotaged Trump from the beginning and have been their usual disloyal scuzballs since 2016. The GOPE decided to openly or clandestinely go after Trump and his candidates in the general elections and now those conservative and Trump voters are of the mindset don’t utter a word to us about loyalty to your candidates ever again, we owe you nothing but contempt. With the Democrats massive cheating and the GOPE poisoning the well in their own party I see no way for the Republican Party to ever win again.

I agree with you assessment, but I’m not convinced yet that
Trump can’t pull it off.
As you state, my loyalty to the party is non-existent.
I’m also of a mind that Bush had pretty much numbed the mind
of folks wanting a Republican again, after his terms in office.
He handed us off to Obama of all things. Another Bush
acolyte backed by the party? barforama
If they are resting on their ‘the best of two candidates’
laurels, are they in for a shock. That’s rather questionable
to say, because they don’t give a “S”.
Trump is the real monkey wrench in their plans, and if
folks are honest with themselves, they only need to pay
attention to what is going on right now to confirm that
for themselves.
