Polling Proves DeSantis ‘Electability’ is a Myth

Ron DeSantis isn’t the popular guy he’s made himself out to be.

Last Updated on June 2, 2023

Ron DeSantis has been attempting to pitch to GOP voters that he gives Republicans the best chance to beat Joe Biden in the general election. However, new polling from swing states proves this argument is another lie from Ron DeSantis.

Pollsters informed voters from the critical swing states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin on Ron DeSantis’ votes in Congress. Voters were then asked who they would vote for if the 2024 presidential election was between Joe Biden and Ron DeSantis.

When voters were asked, ” If you knew that in Congress, Ron DeSantis voted three times to cut Social Security benefits, voted twice to cut Medicare benefits and voted to raise the retirement age to 70, knowing what you know about Joe Biden and what you just heard about Ron DeSantis, if the election for President were held today, would you vote for?”

Upon learning this information, 50% of voters answered they would vote for Joe Biden, while only 40 % of voters committed to voting for Ron DeSantis. Notability Biden beats DeSantis by 12% with Hispanics.

Voters were also asked, “If you knew that in Congress, Ron DeSantis voted to replace the current tax system with a 23% national sales tax on most goods and services you buy and raise taxes on 90% of Americans, knowing what you know about Joe Biden and what you just heard about Ron DeSantis, if the election for President were held today, who would you vote for?

After learning these facts, 43% of voters answered they would vote for Ron DeSantis. 48% of voters answered they would vote for Joe Biden. DeSantis again suffers another loss with Hispanic voters, this time by a much more significant margin of 16%.

DeSantis has also been making the case that he can drive more Hispanics to the Republican Party. However, these latest polls prove this argument is yet another lie.

Recent polling shows Trump beating Biden by 7 points. This fact, combined with polling reported on in this article, proves that Donald Trump is the only electable Republican candidate.

If you knew that Biden molested and showered with little girls, would you vote for Biden or DeSsntis?

I don't vote for Globalist / GOP-E stooges, PERIOD!

So, if those are my choices, I will be writing in President Trump.!

Yes, just like he couldn’t win in Florida. Tell Gov. Crist!

The only reason he won against Crist was because of President Trump's endorsement.

Now he is stabbing President Trump in the back.

Try again!

He won his second term by proving himself capable in the first. Even Trump said he voted for him.

“The only reason he won against Crist was because of President Trump's endorsement.”

As he does many times, Trump wanted it both ways. Trump was attacking DeSantis three days before the midterm election.

“Stabbed him in the back” I think you call it.

I can see an ironic scenario where DeSantis actually achieves the exact opposite result from what his anti-Trump supporters think he will achieve. A lot will depend on how Trump plays it. The bottom line is Trump’s opponents are on the wrong side of history.

With a worthless, back-stabbing pack of do-nothing RINOs in congress except spend and redistribute other people’s money (as they proved yesterday) they’ll be lucky to even get re-elected next fall. To think that either one of these candidate’s campaigns on making the GOPe the go-to party is beyond one’s imagination, you see the issue isn’t Trump or DeSantis, it’s going out to vote for a failed political party or stay home.

So, if your affirmative vote for RDS put him in the WH, and your protest vote kept Biden in the Oval Office, you would choose to keep the Communist crime boss in power? Insane!

When all these polls showing Trump up big are posted, I think of the old adage, “how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.” Anyone expecting an immediate flip in the polls was dreaming. Desantis needs to start taking small bites out of Trump’s poll numbers in the early primary states. If we start seeing a tend toward Desantis beginning to gain on Trump by Independence Day, then he has a chance to make a dent in Trump by January. A strong showing in Iowa and South Carolina could drive the other candidates out of the race, making it a 2 way race between Trump and Desantis. If Trump is tied up in court most of primary season, that could make things really tight. And if Trump is actually convicted, all bets are off. Lots of people who would be willing to vote for Trump are not going to want to risk having a nominee who could be sitting in a jail cell come Election Day.

You could just as easily make an argument that an ex-president polling only in the 50’s is pretty weak.

No, I just don't do the lesser of two evils anymore.

My vote is too sacred to me.

RDS has taken more arrows for America and truth in the political arena than virtually any other Republican in America. I think you have become self-righteous. Absolutely I will vote for Trump if he wins. He isn’t perfect either.

Pull your head out of the ground, then research the last 6 years of what Trump has endured, and then try again.

So, if Trump is incapable of running, you will sit it out? Totally irrational and unacceptable for any American.

I DID NOT SAY THAT TRUMP HAS NOT TAKEN MORE ATTACKS THAN RDS, BTW. NO KIDDING. RDS HAS TAKEN MORE HITS THAN ANY GOVERNOR. AND HE TOO IS STANDING TALL.

Let me spell it out for you NeoCon:

I won't vote, ever again, for a manipulating Globalist / GOP-E politician.

That was GHB, GWB, and now DeSantis.

No way in Hell!

I'd rather see the system crash so we can rebuild it.
