72% of Americans support the LGBTQIA cause and while bandwagon is no argument regards its morality or practicality, you’re trying to sell to these people and it does matter if you’re a business.
Furthermore, LGBTQIA has become a protected class and the federal government is setting the standards regards what’s expected. They are the single biggest employer in the nation, ~25% of the nations GDP by themselves, and if you fall out of their parameters you become a target for scrutiny. If you don’t play along you’ll face repercussions. It’s no longer a choice/ option at this point.
