Consumer confidence fell in May as Americans became more pessimistic about the labor market, on top of elevated anxiety over inflation.
The Conference Board reported Tuesday that its consumer confidence index fell to 102.3 in May from 103.7 in April. It’s the fourth time in five months that overall U.S. consumer confidence has declined.

Guess folks aint buying what the crypt keeper is selling
1. Dr Copper says we are on the brink of recession
2. Train volumes have declined to recession levels.
3. Oil and energy in general have been in decline on fears of a world recession
4. Layoffs among what were corporate stalwarts
are just a few of the reasons I believe a recession is here or near. Either we never actually came out of the short recession or we are going back in.
