BUT, a national sales tax just shifts the IRS from auditing individuals to businesses.
And politicians will screw the code up like the income tax exempting products for political reasons.
We don’t have an income tax in TN but the Sales Tax Dept is big. I’ve been business audited several times.
I didn’t support him in 2016 because I thought he’d be a great leader of CEO. I supported him because Ronald McDonald wasn’t on the ballot.
Nothing has changed in 2023.
