Funny how Trump was “no conservative” (I agree with this assessment) ... and yet he did a better job of promoting and advancing a truly conservative political agenda during his four years in office than the Republican Party had done for 20+ years before he showed up on the scene.

But keep in mind that the state lockdowns were based on Trump's "guidelines" and were made largely possible by him providing the states with money.

This is simply not true. In fact, the earliest lockdown orders in my area were issued by a group of Democratic governors who complained that they weren't getting any guidance from the Trump administration about COVID measures.

We should also keep in mind that the "guidelines" the CDC issued were pretty much what I would have done at the time ... because we reached the point in March/April 2020 where even a huge cohort of pathetic, cowardly Branch Covidian Freepers were begging "Massa Trump" to help protect them from COVID.

I knew this country was doomed when I saw how many @ssholes right here on FR had the audacity to scold me for refusing to shut down my business and hide under my bed.

I like Trump but wish he stopped randomly attacking Desantis. Trump also let Fauci AND Birx run ragged in us, and set the path where the vax eventually led to mass job firing for refusing it.

Please define “trans” Republicans. It's a new term I am unfamiliar with. If you don't know the definition of conservative by now .... considering that you've been a member since 2002.... there is no way I can help you with that.

'Trans' republicans are like those gender abusers, that will not accept the body God planted them.. 'Trans' republicans call themselves 'principal conservatives'... meaning they only give a d . about their bank account... and will use whomever, whenever, and however to feather their own nest ... just like liberals, but they dress in three piece suits and live in their gated communities...

Trans republicans are partnered with the left ... and they use their law business in or out of government to take down people that get in their ways and means. Did you not hear the caw caw caw of the BS Barr alerting the 'trans' Republicans that 'just us' was taking President Trump down in August...

Oh, yes, there was never a more well mannered ‘conservative’, than snarling Arlen... and that Toomey ready does outshine, Sanatorium... yeah, baby... those Pennsylvania ‘conservatives’ mess with elections right up there with the best ..

You have become a full blown lunatic.

Trump never educated himself on the situation with Covid like DeSantis and other governors did.

It didn't take an education to know that the lockdown measures imposed in the spring of 2020 were useless at best and idiotic on their face.

In my neck of the woods, the ones who got through the COVID fiasco better than anyone else were the Amish and Mennonites ... because apparently it takes someone with nothing more than an 8th-grade education to know how 'effing stupid it is to do things like this to combat an airborne viral pathogen:

1. Close down parks and tell people to shelter at home.

2. Close down small stores but keep the big ones open.

3. Close down playgrounds but keep dog parks open.

4. Close down churches but keep liquor stores and marijuana dispensaries open.

5. Have high school students act like retarded clowns ... like this idiocy:

I recommend that you invest in a dictionary, so you can say something meaningful when all that occurs to you is cursing.

“Funny how Trump was “no conservative” (I agree with this assessment) ... and yet he did a better job of promoting and advancing a truly conservative political agenda during his four years in office than the Republican Party had done for 20+ years before he showed up on the scene.”

That’s because most of the GOP are not only not conservatives, but are seemingly anti-conservative. We haven’t called them the Uniparty for nothing.

While I support and applaud most of what Trump did while in office (securing the border, rebuilding military, improving the economy, putting America first instead of dead last like the Dems have done, etc.)....that was then and this is now. A LOT has happened since then.

Yes, Trump has been unfairly demonized and accused in an ongoing, 24/7 attack by the radical left Democrats. But that is exactly ‘why’ I question his motives now when he unfairly demonizes and attacks DeSantis. Attacking DeSantis with lies and blatant BS and personal attacks is turning off more of his supporters than it’s winning for him, myself included. While I would have voted for him, I think this last crack, if he truly made it, is the last straw for me. He is apparently not bright enough to glean the fact and reality that many of us don’t trust him now....because of his attacking the right, instead of the left. Attack the Democrats, not your own (supposedly) side.

Trump knows better than anyone else that DeSantis has been getting groomed, managed and manicured to run in 2024 by the same big-government globalists who have been peddling @ssholes like the Bushes, Cheneys, Ryan, McCain, etc. as "conservatives" for years.

He is apparently not bright enough to glean the fact and reality that many of us don’t trust him now....because of his attacking the right, instead of the left. Attack the Democrats, not your own (supposedly) side.

This is exactly the same strategy Trump used to win the GOP nomination in 2016. He's running to secure the nomination in a political party where the leadership has been at odds with the grassroots voters for years. You don't attack the Democrats in a Republican primary campaign.

When Trump campaigned loudly in 2016 about "draining the Swamp," it wasn't lost on GOP voters that the Swamp is filled with Republicans and Democrats alike.

When the Ron DeSanctimonious facts come out, you will see that he is better than most Democrat Governors, but very average, at best, against Republican Governors. How about the fact that he had the third most deaths of any State, as Governor, on the China Virus. Even Cuomo did better, #4. He shut down everything, EVEN HIS BEACHES. Other Republican Govs didn’t. Look at the Disney MESS, could have worked an easy settlement, but no, he wanted the Fake News to show what a tough guy he is. He’s not

“Not surprising, sadly. He just can’t help himself.”

He came in as an “outsider” and turned into a politician; and a dirty one at that. His “tough” remarks are, unfortunately, business as usual for a misrepresenting, anything goes politician. Sad.

“t’s all about Trump. Always has been. Always will be.

“He is a Patriot and apparently you aren’t. Maybe you should apply for work at the DOJ or the FBI.”

Accusing someone of not being a patriot because they criticize Trump is a tactic right out of the leftist playbook. Maybe you should join Pelosi’s staff or Schumer’s team.
