The order is legally enforceable, meaning disobeying can result in a misdemeanor with up to $1,000 in fines or six months imprisonment
Does anybody remember this? Only a couple of years ago.

We know it’s not because of coronavirus.
Maybe he’s trying to avoid having people see him move pallets of cash.

I remember it well. The day after Newsom’s ridiculous announcement, my wife’s office at the school district closed up and everybody went home to work remotely. We had bought a summer home in North Idaho just two years before. So, the next morning, with Newsom threatening to arrest people on the roads by the end of the week, my wife grabbed the dog and skedaddled to our summer place. She didn’t want to get stuck in CA if he made good on his threat.
She finished out her career remotely (with a couple of business trips back to the Bay Area) and decided she likes our place on the lake so much she moved there permanently! I still enjoy coming back to the Bay Area for winter, but I’m headed to Idaho tomorrow for the summer.
I ignored all of Newsom’s draconian actions and continued to hike all of the Peninsula’s fine trails. Sometimes I had to park a mile away from the park entrance and walk to it, but I had the parks and trails all to myself.
