Matt Dugan received more than $700,000 in backing from Soros
A left-wing Pittsburgh district attorney candidate supported by hundreds of thousands of dollars from financier George Soros emerged victorious from Tuesday's Democratic primary.
Public defender Matt Dugan defeated Allegheny County DA Stephen Zappala, a 26-year veteran of the post, 56% to 46%, to become the Democratic nominee, according to election results.
Zappala said he plans on running as a Republican in the November election.
"I apologize to my friends and supporters that we didn't have a stronger showing this evening. But I tell you what, if we stick around to the November race, we are going to kick some (expletive) and take some names," Zappala told supporters, according to KDKA News.

I kind of defended PA voters for going with Fetterman, as Oz was such a bad candidate.
But I cannot defend anyone who voted for Matt Dugan. He ran TV ads saying how terrible the criminal justice system is. It’s an outrage that poor people have to go to jail!
This guy is trying to turn Pittsburgh into another catch-and-release town like Chicago or NYC. And he might well succeed.

Well it looks like Zappala is going to run as a Pub, who knows Trump could do a rally for him, that would tee off the hipsters in Shadyside, Oakland and Squirell Hill, but all Trump would have to do, is mention the disasters Soros backed DA’s have done to LA, New York, and Chicago.

I live in Pittsburgh area and this is the first I heard of this candidate being linked to Soros.
Our “justice” system is so ****ed up. It’s run by morons.

It was pretty much a clean sweep for Pittsburgh Democrats.
I lived there for about 6 months after locating from Ohio....so glad I got out of their and moved up North to a more rural community ....nice small city. Trump city here!

Our nation gets rid of one of those cretins and another pops up in another location. They are worse than moles who undermine the foundations of a flower bed. These prosecutors are undermining the foundation of our nation’s laws.
