A couple things: 1.) Students should not have their phones in class. 2.) Teachers should not be using racial slurs. 3.) The use of a racial slur could be collaborated by other students, without a need for a phone.
Just a little school/teacher story ... Yesterday was election day in PA. I went to vote at my local precinct which is at a school. It was ill timed, as a mass horde of teachers were leaving the school. I had though I waited for students to clear out, but had no idea about the teachers. I never saw such slovenly, childish looking teachers in my life. They dress like children, not adults. I guarantee that they act like overgrown teenagers when then are teaching. They have no respect for their students or themselves. It was pathetically unprofessional. Maybe that has something to do with what a terrible job they do and how teachers fail to gain the respect of students.

So they were discussing the "n" word at the time.
Maybe she was making the point that if you say this word...not a damn thing happens...but you lose your job.
Santa is no longer allowed to say Ho Ho Ho.
See the problem...a word is just a word.....unless it is aimed PERSONALLY at someone.

"If you take a video of a
teacher protected class doing something wrong, then you yourself could also get in trouble,"
Perhaps I assume overmuch. But I doubt it.

If they were actually talking *about* racial slurs in class, then maybe some examples were justified.
But who knows? It's so hard to get the complete story nowadays.
Why is here is a word that's so toxic it can't even be used in an example without triggering someone?

video cameras should be on in the classroom and all parents should have access to the bullshit that the lib/LGBTQ/communist indoctrinators are shoveling and how LITTLE ACTUAL TEACHING IS DONE.
They can also see how little Johnny and Jenny are acting like fools.

“Mary Walton, 15, filmed her teacher saying the n-word repeatedly Mary Walton, 15, filmed her teacher saying the n-word repeatedly...students had been discussing the racial slur.
Lot’s of important details missing. We are told the teacher said the word while students were discussing it. Apparently even saying the word within the context of a discussion about it is forbidden. Were the students discussing the word punished?

So, it was a discussion about racial slurs. Sounds like a learning experience. Maybe the students set her up. Have the students who brought up the subject been tarred and feathered yet or are the little darlings protected?

Wonder how long it would take for the student to pass out on it’s first trip in a biker bar or a bar near the docks a ghetto bar.............

at the time of the incident students had been discussing the racial slur. Maybe if the schools were still teaching American literature like Huckleberry Finn, the students wouldn't need to discuss "the n-word" out of context in a way that would get a teacher fired?
